Wow, bluespurrs! That's a lot of cats! I only have one cat cause she's a little intolerant of other animals getting attention from me. Her name is Maya. She's 13 and was named that way before celebrities started naming their kids that and charachters named Maya started appearing in movies and films! My parents have a cat named Cosmo!

I have a doggy named "Biscuit". I thought the name was kinda stupid, but when we met him (we got him from an animal rescue) we didn't have the heart to change it. It fits him now, and I can't imagine him NOT "Biscuit".

It's not *my* pet, she lives at my mom's.  Since I corralled her, I guess I can call her mine.

She is a cat, and she answers to Foot.  Not an adorable name, but for being a seemingly stray cat, she took well to it and will talk back to you.  Unless you're my BF.  She doesn't talk to him.

She is called Foot, because my aunt had a cat named Mr. Boots, and when they came to visit one day, the resemblance was brought up.  My uncle says "That's not a Boots.  It's like a bootleg Boots.  More like Foot."

Okay so my three cats are Stormy, Kumo aka Momo, and Mal aka Captain Tight-Pants (if you know where that comes from you get a cookie).

But I consider my parents' cats at least partially mine and they have:  Wiggles, Simon, Squall, Lily, Oliver, Emmit, Gabby, Cloud, and Steve (the newest addition).  They also have a lab named Calleigh and a crazy bird that doesn't have a name (as far as I know!) - but I affectionately call her "cat treat." :P

My lab/chow is name Mikomi, Miko for short. His name translates to "hope" in Japanese :)

My boxer/chow is named Max. I don't like it but since he is more my parents dog than mine I don't have much say.

The cat is name Smokey. Super unoriginal but my sister named him 9 years ago so we are stuck with it. I don't even like cats :/

@ phredre- Captain tight-pants is from Firefly/Serenity! haha.  I'm such a dork that I know that, but I loved the show!

And my fish names are Oscar and Olivia.  My dog was named Chester, and my rabbit was named Oliver.  I'm thinking about getting a mini dachshund right now, and Winslow is the front-runner for a name (if it's a boy).

When I was in college, I got on a kick of naming my pets after designers.  We had a Beta fish named Ralph (Ralph Lauren) and a bunny named Louis (Louis Vuitton).  They have both since passed, by now I have a 2 year old shih tzu named Lillian (Lilly) Lee after Lilly Pulitzer.

FI has a rotti/sheppard/lab mix he resuced a few years ago and named her Dagger...with every intention of getting a second dog to name Cloak.  However, the Army had other plans and he was stationed for a few years in Korea.  We met shortly after he returned home and Lilly became the second dog!

Dancer 22 - Yes, I am owned by all those cats! I live on 70 acres and the nearest neighbor is over 1/2 mile away. The vast majority are either ferals or dumped pets I trapped from the nearby state forest lands. It took 5 years of trapping and a whole lot of money, but they are all vaccinated and neutered. Some are too wild to be indoors, and I have Amish-built mini-barns and shelters stuffed with straw for them. The rest go in and out as they please. We have feeding and water stations and heated water bowls for cold weather. $400/month just for the cat food! The cat sanctuary is a living memorial to my daughter who died unexpectedly 8 years ago. She adored cats.

    Both chihuahuas-

Faye, aka- Bay, Bat, The Pig, Chunk, El blanco diablo (she's white with pink tones, normal weight but bigger than her sister, hence the nicknames :P spunky and loud)

Eclair, aka- Bear, Clair, Lanks Mcgee, Weirdo (very skinny, lanky odd child, half Italian Greyhound/half Chi- she's skittish, she was a rescue, eats like a wolf, we love them both to bits!)

I have two cats Stitch and Lola.

I want to point out that their names have nothing to do with Lilo and Stitch like many people think! Both cats are rescue adoptions. We adopted and named our first cat Lola. A year later we adopted Stitch and we were fine with is name so we never changed it!

She's back with my parents right now, but I have a long-haired gray/white cat named Claire. She named after the characters from LOST and Elizabethtown.

The family dog is a yorkshire terrier named Rudy, after the man with the same name from the 1st season of Survivor.

Two dogs - Benson and Little Tuck. Little Tuck's name is actually Tucker, that's what they named him at the shelter. But he is so small in comparison to Benson (85 lbs and 25 lbs) that we just kept calling him Little Tuck, and it stuck.

Past dogs for me were Stormy and Tinker - for FI, Blackjack. FI had a turbo hamster that died a few months ago - his name was Turbs LOL. We had tons of fish - the mama that kept eating her babies was Molly haha. Oh and I used to have a beta fish at work named Boo Diddly. That's what those ghosts in the Mario games were called - the ones that chased you when you turned your back. Because he would only look out when he thought you weren't looking at him. Awww, I miss him!! Oh, and a million years ago I had a turtle named George Smile
