We find any and all pet names nauseating. We just refer to each other by our first names.  My DH will also call me by my nickname that only my family calls me but that’s it.

Hahaha, “honey child.”

I hate it when my FI calls be “cheeby” or “cheebs” and honestly neither of us even know what the hell it means! He just made it up one day and it stuck. Ugh. Actually I think Urban Dictionary has it as meaning freeloader!!! Which I certainly am not, haha.

Other than that we mainly call each other “normal” pet names, like honey, sweetheart, etc. Every now and then I’ll call him ‘honeybuns’ and he HATES it 🙂

In general my FI hardly EVER calls me by my actual name, to the point that when he actually does it sounds weird to me. I’m pretty much always ‘sweety’ to him.

@LadyBlackheart:  Mr. 99 and I actually strive to call each other really uncomfortably odd pet names if and only if we’re in public with a couple that calls one another, exclusively and without exception “Babe”….that’s freakin obnoxious, and it makes us both crazy…so we’ll start off with something benign…

Honey, Punkin, Sweetheart……if we aren’t getting any steam with that, he’ll toss out Candypants, I’ll throw in a Savage Gypsy Lover…..move it up to Angel- Tits and top it off with Wild Love Stallion….

usually they quit it about then…weird

This is going to sound so weird but when we are about to get frisky he calls me “Sexy Thang”. I hate it and makes me feel like a stripper or something. haha

@Nona99:  I always call DH “babe”. If I call him honey or sweatheart he gives me this look….   O.o  and just goes silent. haha (:

We call each other “honey”. Once in a while when my FI is hyper or being silly he calls me “Bro” and it makes me instantly irate lol. I don’t know why it bugs me so much haha.

I used I call him babe but he hated it and asked me to stop. I HATE “baby”, I have a friend who her an her hubby ALWAYS refer each otheras baby in this whiny, baby voice. I just wanna tell them “you’re both adults!” hahA

FI will call me by a nickname my mom gave me when I was little, and it drives me nuts. My mom had no idea where it came from and eventually stopped calling me it because my friends would tease me. FI uses it to tease me, too… “booger buns”. WTF? Thanks, mom!

Other than that, I like the pet names FI gives me. He ususally starts as a joke and they stick – Honey Bunny from when we watched Pulp Fiction together, Miss ah-(firstname) – from Duck Dynasty (Miss Kay, said with a southern drawl)

It’s not a nickname, but Hubs says I’m his “diamond in the rough”….the first couple times he said it, I said, “You know, that’s not *really* a compliment right? Like, I need to be polished up and all?”  He totally doesn’t mean it that way, so I let him continue.  Bizarre.

Every now and then my FI will call me his “big girl”. Dude, that makes me feel fat and weirded out, don’t call me that. What does that even mean? Lol. He says it to annoy me.

Or he’ll say “little horsey”. You’d think he says that because I own horses…nope, not.even.close. Him and a friend found this YouTube video and I’ll spare you the details but it’s disturbing and the words “little horsey” are used in it. He now says it to gross me out 🙂

My DH husband calls me hedgehog. Apparently when Im waking up in the morning I sound like a hedgehog, but Im not sure if they make a noise.

I hate when he does that. When he travels, he often isnt able to reach me directly because he is war zones and cell phone contact is minimal, so he will log into facebook and leave a message to me personally or just a general one on his page to let everyone know he is alive and he will say

“I woke up this morning and I didnt hear my hedgehog, it made me sad”

Drives me nuts lol
