My pet peeve is people who get in line at the express check out and have way more than the number of items for that line… (1-8 only) and they have 15…
I want the cash to automatically stop at 8 items… and for the “extra” items, the person would have to go back to the end of the line if he/she still wants them. If I was the cashier and manager, I would make this a store policy and have it written in BIGGER letters and enforce it! Refuse any items after 8!

@happyface: My pet peeve is when people on the train/subway/bus or any type of public transportation insist on listening to music on their headphones at a level where I can hear every. single. note. Listen up people! It’s called a personal listening device for a reason, because only you should be able to hear it! Not to mention the damage it’s doing to their eardrums. Sheesh!
And on that note, people who insist on having loud, screaming conversations on their cellphones on any type of public transportation. I know it’s important to you, but I really, really don’t want to overhear your problems.
I think I read somewhere that the reason why you can’t just tune out cell phone conversations is that since our brains are only listening to one side of the conversation the brain will pay double the attention to figure out the gist of the conversation. Cool, but dammit brain, I want to ignore this…
Phew. End Rant.
Solution: I’m not sure. I don’t know if there is aplausible one so my personal one would be to win the lottery so I no longer need to commute to a job. Not likely, but I can wish right?

Pet Peeve: People who have no spacial awareness while shopping. Come on, you’re at Costco and you have a giant cart full of stuff and you’re going to have a conversation with someone while completely blocking the entrance/exit to the aisle? Really? Or you’re so busy looking oogling the 50 lb bags of flour that you push your cart right into me as I try to reach for something on the second shelf? Arg!!
Solution: I’m only going to Costco on weekday mornings from now on. Fewer people = less chance to get annoyed/run over 😛

MY PET PEEVE: is people flashing their lights at you, driving up your bum, and overtaking honking their horns when you are DOING THE SPEED LIMIT!!!
SOLUTION: a giant spatula under your car that picks up and harmlessly flips rude drivers off the road 🙂

Bicyclists who think they own the road. These ones don’t obey stop signs, red lights and weave in front of you. I do not respect those without helmets. If they decide to hit MY car, I should NOT be made responsible! And who’s going to pay for their hospital bills, or take care of them for the rest of their lives if they become paralized because they choose to not wear a helmet? I think it’s the same as seatbelts in cars. If you have an accident, you are surely going to be severely hurt when your head is not protected, there is no ifs, ands, or buts, about that!
I do honour those that use hand signals to turn left and right and those that LOOK to see how far or how close the car is behind them and those “few” that actually obey ALL traffic rules.
Bicycle licence plates. And by-law enforcement “cops” dedicated to bicycles. Fines from not wearing a helmet to running a stop sign. And if there are “repeat” offenders, then they go to court.

PET PEEVE: People on my Facebook who make multiple, annoying, lame, and generally uninteresting posts.
SOLUTION: Hide them from my newsfeed or delete them.
Well, that was easy! 🙂
ETA: @Scottish_lassie: hahaha the spatula!
