So when I was 16 my mom gave me the gift of my very first fine jewelry; a .25ct oval diamond ring in a white gold setting. I stopped wearing it after I accidentally bent two of the prongs (no idea how) and was fearful of the diamond falling out, and just never had it repaired.
I also have a white gold and diamond infinity ring which I found on the side of the road after a car accident on a camping trip when I was 13. Crazy find right?? I’ve often wondered how it ended up there because it was a road out in the middle of nowhere. There are 16 diamonds in the ring, as you can see, it should be 17 but one is missing.
Anyway, my mom asked me if I wore my 16th birthday ring anymore the other day and I had totally forgot about it! Now I am thinking I’d like to scrap the settings and have the diamonds fashioned into a lovely dainty right hand ring!! I would love to see some other petite ovals out there or if any of you have some ring porn to share for inspiration please do!!

Just the clarify, my camping group was in a car accident, and when we were waiting for police to show I found the ring a little ways down the road. I did not take it from an accident scene lol

I think you should combine them into one ring. Like an oval solitaire with side stones. Or maybe a halo?

This is my ering, 0.37 carat oval. I love it, I have small hands and think it looks just perfect on 🙂

mrssloan2013: yep! That is the plan! i was hoping to get some inpiration pics! I was thinking an east west miligrain bezel setting with a paved band. I’d love to get some ideas of how a stone this size looks with a fancier setting. It’s hard to find pics of .25 CTs that aren’t plain solitaires.

Unfathomably: This is not an oval, but might give you an idea of what an east-west setting might look like with a diamond that has a longer shape (it’s smaller than your stone though): https://www.etsy.com/listing/114883823/marquise-diamond-engagement-ring-diamond?ref=shop_home_active_7
They also have this one, which is a .25 ct marquise with half of a halo: https://www.etsy.com/listing/181708763/marquise-diamond-engagement-ring-with?ref=shop_home_active_24
