We had a great time with our dog doing our engagement photos! He was a huge hit at the wedding reception too.
I highly recommend bringing along a friend who feels confident commanding your dog. The only reason why our dog is sitting still and focusing his attention on something in the above photo is because my friend was standing off-camera giving him sit and stay commands. Otherwise he would have been all over the place.
I also recommend teaching your dog to "dance" if he's tall enough. :) This is a guest photo, I am hoping so hard our pro pics include one like it!
Love this post! We are doing our e-photos next month and plan on having our furbaby pose with us, too. Can't wait to see all the photos!
I can't imagine NOT having Lucy in them! She's in our "save the dates" - in the same shoot as attached but not that picture - and is going to be our ring bearer. Sadly, she won't be at the reception (it would be too loud and she's too big).
They are part of the family so to any guest or invitee that doesn't 'get' it will have to deal :)
We just took e-pics and included our dog in some shots. We stayed close to home so it would be a familiar place for him. We let him sit on our laps because we knew he would stay there. At the end of the e-pics shoot, we sat on our front steps and our neighbors was out walking her dog. Her little dog came and jumped on my lap so we have pics with 2 different dogs!
These are great! We didn't take engagement pics but if we did we would have had our dog in some for sure!
While I would love to have our two cats in our engagement pics, they have never been outside except in a carrier when they go to the vet. They would freak out if I tried to take them outside for pictures. I have zero desire to have our dumpster furniture and ratty apartment to be in one of our e-pics.
If we had a dog, I would feel bad excluding our cats from the pictures because they were the first pets we had together.
That being said, I LOVE e-pics with pets. Pets are part of who you are as a couple, and they should be included. I just wish I had a sweet apartment to take e-pics with our cats. I won't take them outside just for cute pics.
we are using both our pit bull, bella, and my horse in our engagment pictures. They will be posted sometimes within the next week. I am the one to SAID that they have to be in the photo they are our babies. So, my finacee agreed and we are photos sometimes next week. Wish us luck. dont know how well they are going to get along.
We haven't decided whether we will have our dog in our photos or not. He wasn't even originally our dog, but we have him now and love him to death. But, whenever he has attention on him he gets this really depressed look on his face. It's funny to us, but not sure how he would do with pictures. Although, I'm sure we would be able to look back and laugh at our overweight, depressed, very loved dog. As I'm writing this I realize we have to have him in at least a couple of pictures.
@LittlestBirds: I love this dancing picture! Too cute!
@Betty D ALB: What a great pic and gorgeous dog!
Thanks for sharing everyone, keep 'em comin! I am so excited to have our puppy in our pictures!
We did! It was great my girls like to take pictures!
We did! Not for all of them but we definitely had to have some including them! We love how they turned out!

We did it. It was fun, but he was totally distracted by all the rabbits around us. So if you're going to do it, do it somewhere familiar without distractions. Or have a really obedient dog, LOL. Here's ours!
We did! Our dog was in some pictures (20-30 minutes worth of shots). A friend came with us to be our dog wrangler and was able to drop our sweet pooch off after we were done with her.
Our girl made her way (unplanned!) into a few of the shots in our apartment. We haven't gotten them back yet, but it was pretty cute. We asked our photographer if we should lock her up, but she went with the flow and got some cute shots with Sunday.
Awww, so sweet! I tried to talk Mr. SD into including our boxer and red heeler, but he said no way! They are super hard to wrangle. I totally wish we could have them in the ceremony, but they would go crazy on the guests.
Mrs. Lobster has some great ones with their little one!

She also has an adorable one on her wedding day

I don't have a dog, but these pictures make me want one!
We did! Buster matched my fiance for the engagment shots. We loved having him in a picture!
This would be awesome! I have 4 dogs...it would be tough but we are going to try at least an e-pic with them even tho we already had our e-pics.
We got out e-photos done yesterday! Frankie only sat still for a couple of shots but we got some really cute ones with him!
*All photos personal photos taken by my amazing cousin
We loved having our dogs with us! And this was our favorite picture by far.
This is one of my favorites. Our furbaby was also a part of or ceremony and wedding pics.

We took our Westie Maggie to ours. BIL was the "dog handler" for the shoot which worked out well!

We definitely included our puppy in a few of our e-pics! He makes us laugh, so seemed like a good idea to bring him. We got engaged right after we got the dog - I think partially because we realized that we made good partners/could possibly, maybe, someday have a family together. (Maybe. Ha!) Here's a few selections with our pup, Fritz Lang The Dog... All photos were taken by Minorwhite Studios.

I'm going to attempt to have both my cats in mine. They're both leash trained, so hopefully we will get a few cute shots.
Although we did not have our dog in engagement photos (we never had any) we did TRY to have him in some wedding photos....
oh dear...
He was soooo excited about all the people and taking a car ride, it was a mess, but I love having this photo....

What is going on this photo?
We were trying to sit pretty for our photo session, and then Jasper (puppy) decided to take a big bite out of my flowers. My husband if trying to contain Jasper and I saving my flowers.
Note: Jasper is in the process of spitting out the greenery (look near DH pants and on the puppys lips)
I would never take this back and this is our favorite wedding photo :)
This is my favorite one from our e-shoot... We have a 11" x 14" on the wall... Too bad we now have a 4 month old beagle, so we need to get a new one. :)

This is my second favorite:

We ended up cancelling the contract with our original photographer after we saw our engagement pics, BUT, I loved having our puppy Valentino in our e-pics. I will forever cherish the pics we have of the two of us and Val

Bees-
My FI and I want to incorporate our furbaby into our e-photo shoot. He will be almost 6 months old for our shoot and knows basic commands.
Any suggestions for doing this? Show me your favorite fur baby e-photos!
