Help! I need advice! A few days ago I purchased a gorgeous Claire Pettibone dress (Brigitte) that I absolutely love:
But, for some reason can not stop thinking about this Jenny Packham dress (Esme) that I tried on at the same time.
They are completely different in style, but I love them both. When I think about trying to change my order to the Jenny Packham dress, I don’t want to lose the Pettibone, but yet I can’t stop thinking about the Packham! They both looked good on me, and I love them for different reasons. In an ideal world I would get them both, but that probably isn’t possible. Help!

I think you picked the best one already… that Pettibone dress is a dream!
The Packham dress is pretty, but I really can’t imagine it having more of an impact for a wedding than the other dress, no matter how great it looks on you.
No regrets! You made the right choice!

I love these sorts of dilemmas, hehe! Both gowns are gorgeous. Here are my thoughts:
– The Brigitte is more bridal. It’s ethereal, romantic and very dreamy. It’s more youthful and innocent. It’s so, so pretty and if it was me, I would feel more like a bride walking down the aisle in it.
– The Esme, which I also love, is a really slinky, old Hollywood, Jazz Age sort of gown. Very on trend with the whole Great Gatsby thing going on right now. For me, it looks like a reception gown – or better suited to an older bride. I’ve seen in on real brides and it seems to project a very glamorous, chic, somewhat more mature look. It doesn’t scream bridal to me. On the upside, you could probably find an occasion to wear it again. I also think it’s pretty limited in terms of what kinds of venue/style of wedding it would suit – ie, a formal hotel wedding would be best. I think the Brigitte would suit a broader range of venues.

I have tried on Brigitte. I loved it because it shaped my curvy body really well. I am not normally a belt person but it really suits this dress. I think Rene can be dangerous as far as how it will look in photos. I would imagine you need a perfect body. I tried on a similar style to Esme (it was by Jenny) BUT THE TOP OF THE DRESS could be more defined at the waist. Sorry for caps lock.
I think Brigitte is lovely and was one of my tops, but myself, I am struggling between Toulouse, Eloquence and Maiden (which is being retired) from Claire and Aspen and Willow from Jenny. At least it’s narrowed down to 5 haha.
My vote, stay with Brigitte.

They’re both gorgeous, so I can see why you’re having a hard time deciding. But I really love the one you bought.

The back of the Brigitte has me swooning. Its beautiful.
The Esme is pretty, but not very… Bridal. It’s slinky and jazzy, and it seems like something more appropriate as an evening gown.
What’s your venue?

I love your dress so much more.

Honestly, I think you already picked the nicer dress!
At the end of the day, there are lots of nice dresses out there. I don’t believe that there is one perfect dress out there for each bride, or one perfect ring, etc etc. So yes, maybe you also love the other dress, but that doesn’t mean the one you have isn’t the right decision! Enjoy the lovely one you have and don’t stress. I’m sure there was a reason why you picked that one at the time.

Thank you, ladies. I woke up feeling much better about the Claire Pettibone. It’s just what I always wanted and much more appropriate for this occasion. Maybe someday I’ll get the Jenny Packham for an anniversary party!

I love the Brigitte! It was the first dress I wanted but I ended up going with a packham. Between these two I would definitely pick the Brigitte!! It’s gorgeous
