I don't for my e-ring, but I do for my grandmother's wedding band (which is my right hand ring). It's just that it's such a wide band (1/4 inch!) that it makes an impression, you know?
All.the.time. I used to get it before I even had a ring. Although I think that was just a bit of the "I want to be engaged" crazies setting in ;) If I'm not wearing my ring I feel like I'm missing a part of my body. It's so bizarre.
I do the diamond check about 20 times a day... I have a channel set ring, and I look down about twice an hour to make sure they are all still in there.
But when we were on our honeymoon, and we would put our rings in the safe, I totally felt like my ring was there, but it wasnt... weird..

I accidentally sliced my left ring finger while cutting a pepper the other day, and since I was about to make burger patties, my rings were already off and in a dish in the kitchen. My darling husband fixed me up (I can take care of others, but my own blood makes me see stars and pass out, literally :-( ) and I went on my merry way. B/c I had a huge bandage holding my finger together, I kept my rings off for the day. And I must have looked at the void 100 times! It felt like they were there, then that they weren't there. I decided to wear them on my right hand, and this seemed to only make things worse, since now my wound is doing better and my rings are now on the left, i'm getting phantom ring feelings on BOTH hands! Has anyone else ever had the phantom ring feeling? I'm always checking to be sure they're there and not washed down the drain somewhere.
