I'm so sorry he doesn't want you to see him. Maybe he doesn't want yo to see how puffy he looks with his swollen cheeks? Plus he might be conked out on painkillers at the moment. I'm sure he will want to see you soon.
Eh, don't sweat it. My FI is exactly like this. When he's sick/in pain, he's absolutely miserable and just wants to wallow in his misery alone. I've learned my lesson and keep my distance. Believe me, it's better than having him be rude and standoffish.
Guys are a lot different when it comes to this kind of stuff. When I am sick/injured, I love to have people around to keep me company!
Bummer - maybe he just doesn't want you to see him in all his chipmunk-cheeked glory?
Or, you could create a wisdom-teeth care package (lots of liquified foods, pain pills and movies) and surprise him at his parents house anyway. My theory is that he's going to have to get accustomed to you taking care of him when he's not feeling well (and not looking the greatest either!).
Good luck!
Hey, my sister had hers out early yesterday, too! Haha.
Give him a couple days to relax and heal up. He'll be dying to see you in no time!
Thanks ladies! I like the idea of the care package, but his mom is like crazy super-care-taker when things like this happen. I know he'd already have everything.
I think what bugs me most is that his mom will ignore him until he's sick, and then basically it's like I "don't have a place" over there... she's got it under control. This is why I hate when he gets sick here! When we're at home, he's fine with being with me, I take care of him and let him rest. :(
I would send him lots of popsicles and liquids but no straws! Straws are bad for wisdom teeth removal!
He probably doesn't want you to see him in his weakened chipmunk state lest you get in some hilarious photo opportunities
. Some people are like cats this way...they get injured and they go off to hide and heal on their own.

I'm a little frustrated right now at FI. The poor guy had to get his wisdom teeth out early yesterday morning, and I feel bad for him, but he's basically refused to let me see him (he's staying with his parents and I'm with mine. We live 20 minutes from each other when we stay here.) It's been three days since I've seen him, so I'm really frustrated! And yeah, I've been there as far as the surgery thing goes... guess who came to see me on day two after insisting on coming? Yep, you guessed it.
So I just feel crappy that I haven't seen him and that, after putting up a MAJOR fuss last week about me coming to see him, he doesn't want to see me.
Sigh.
