My friends and I went to Bar Ferdinand for dinner (tapas in Northern Liberties), and the bowling at North Bowl. It was low key, but super fun. And there's always plently of places in the area to go afterwards!
The last bachelorette party I went to, we all went to a Phillies game and then to North Bowl. Fun! Bar Ferdinand is a really good idea, too, it's right across the street from the bowling alley and it's not as crazy expensive as some of the other tapas places in the city.
Maybe you could go have dinner at Beau Monde, and then the younger girls can go dancing upstairs at L'Etage afterwards.
My bachelorette party is just going to be a nice dinner out. My friends are thinking of taking me to someplace fancy-ish like Buddakan or Amada.
We're hitting up a winery or two in on the Brandywine valley wine trail followed by dinner.
We (for a friend's) did continental midtown's roof deck, and then g lounge. I really like the idea of North Bowl though!
This may not be exactly mommy appropriate, but I was the MOH for my friend and we did a pole dancing class. We had a total blast doing it! It was for 3 hours in Olde City and we got to bring a little liquid courage and they provided snacks! It was at MasterJay Moves Studio at 2nd and Market.
Afterward we went to Jones and then out to Public House for the rest of the night.
I don't know what I want to do for my own bachelorette party! Do I just do dinner and drinks afterwards? Or Dinner and Bowling? I am a very relaxed/lounge type; I don't like to go dancing.
Bob and Barbara's has an awesome drag show every Thursday night. A bunch of girlfriends went there for a friend's bach party and it was a lot of fun. You could grab dinner at Jamaica Jerk Hut right across the street.
I am thinking about dinner at Restaurant Panorama or another italian restaurant/byo and then drinks at Franklin Mortgage afterwards. Hope to go to Continental sometime too!
I was just talking about Philly bachelorette party ideas with my Matron of Honor and a bridesmaid (she's really taking the reigns on this since she is a partier). I think we've decided on Bar Ferdinand for dinner and North Bowl to follow. Nice to know those two places came recommended from other Philly Brides to Be.
Isn't there some place where you can do a high tea in Philly? I can't remember...
I just did a quick search, not sure if they all still do high tea service but here are some:
XIX at the Bellevue
Rittenhouse Hotel
Morris House Hotel
The Four Seasons
Dandelion Pub
Rittenhouse high tea from what I hear is absolutely amazing!

hi ladies,
I'm planning a friend's bachelorette party, and we're looking to do something in Philly. We're all orginally from the city or its suburbs, so we have some ideas, but I thought I'd see if you ladies have any fun suggestions?
We're hoping to do something a little classy so that Mom and FMIL can join in, but we might also divide the party into parental-appropriate and after :)
