Does it have to be IN Philadelphia? A friend of mine got married at the mansion at Ridley Creek State Park or at Tyler Arboretum, though I'm not sure how expensive they are.
I also am interested in this thread, as my stepdaughter very recently became engaged and she resides in the Philadelphia area. She likely will not have a huge budget but would love to have a beautiful venue.
I'm currently a waiting bee, but I live in the Philadelphia suburbs, so if I can think of places to investigate, I will let you know! You'd have to double check the going rate for certain places, but I'll think on it. What type of place is your stepdaughter looking for?

I am looking for a venue to hold my ceremony and reception this fall. I will have approximately 50 guests so something outdoor, intimate and unique would be nice. I would like to have the ceremony and reception at the same location- possibly outside for the ceremony and inside for the reception or outside for both. I would like to get more information on venues that charge $1500 or less for site fee and/or a location that will charge less than $80 per person. I have a small guest list and a small budget. Any general ideas of cheap hidden gem locations would be greatly appreciated. I looked into Fairmount Park locations thinking it would be cheap but it seems as though when you say "wedding" nothing is cheap. I also thought about having the reception at a restaurant but there are so many restaurants, I don't know where to begin.
