I am really quite neutral, but I have lots of Phillies fan friends so I am rooting for them by association =)
Phillies!!! I used to live right outside Philly until I was 22 so it will always be Phillies for me!
I'm glad to see there's some actual Phillies fans on here. Most people that I've heard that are rooting for Phillies are just doing so just to spite the Yankees. Haters ;o)

I'll take any support - even those of you like MissLoveBird who are just spiting the Yankees. A-okay with this girl! Since the Phillies are gonna bring it!
Hotchild - I should have added an option for "Phillies only b/c I don't like the Yankees" so that we could seperate out the true fans from the haters!
@DaisyBride: Good idea! It's bothering me the most that METS fans are rooting for the Phillies just to spite the Yankees! Hello?! The Phillies are your rivals! Get a clue!
There are just as many Mets fans rooting for the yankees to spite the phillies.

@MsSwan: Awesome! If the Mets were in the World Series, I'd be rooting for them too even though I'm a die hard Yankees fan. That's what a real New Yorker does ;o)
I'm not actively rooting for the Phillies, but I voted for them because I would MUCH rather see them win. I just don't like the Yankees.
I've lived in Philly for the last 5+ years, but I'm a Yankees fan. My dad was born and raised in NYC and his family is still all there, so it's rubbed off on me. Plus, I lived most of my life in Indiana which has no major league baseball team.

ok - latest reason/reminder why i don't like yankee fans -
a yankee fan friend of mine basically needed to put cliff lee down and said he is a moron/less of a person because he named his son Jackson Lee, which could ONLY mean he still worships the confederate civil war generals.

I grew up in Philly but have lived in the NYC area for 8 years, so I am a fan of the Phillies and Yankees!! This world series is part dream come true part worst nightmare....
After some soul-searching, I am fully rooting for the Phillies; I had to go with the hometown boys despite the fact that my FI is a HUGE Yankees fan. I was at the game last night and it felt really weird to be in Yankees Stadium and be rooting against them!
My husband is a HUGE Yankees fan so I root for them cause when they win, he is happy 
I'm normally not such a flake when it comes to sports! It's good to have a baseball team to root for who actually make it to the World Series, let alone the playoffs! Fellow Cubs fans know what I am talking about!
@MsSwan: I did the same thing when the White Sox won the Series in '05. I root for my Chicago teams!
Im not a Phillies or Yankess fan but I am rooting for the Phillies because Im an Angels fan :)

Who are you rooting for?
I lived in Philly for 5 years but I live in Baltimore now and consider myself a Baltimore sports fan. That being said, the O's are terrible and Philly teams are my second choice!
