Oooh...there are so many awesome places!
If you like microbrews, Triumph Brewing Company has some awesome beers. Plough and the Stars is also a fun place. The Continental and Bleu Martini are fun if you're looking for martini type places...anything else in particular you're looking for??
@2Peas: Thanks! Nope, nothing in particular...just not too fancy, hopefully some good music (not live, just in general), and a place that won't mind that we're all wearing Jimmy Buffett shirts ;o)
Thanks for the suggestions!
Definitely Plough and the Stars then! Very good music, and just a fun all around atmosphere! There are a ton of bars down in Olde City though, so you're bound to find what you're looking for
If you don't mind venturing up to center city, there is also a stretch of bars on 19th and Chestnut streets that are a good time. Devil's Alley, Noche and Drinkers' Pub. Tir Na Nog is on 16th and JFK and is a fun Irish place too, and there's a place called McGillins Olde Ale House on 13th and Drury Sts.
I'm more of a pub gal rather than a club gal if you couldn't tell!
Thanks, us too! We're definitely more bar people than club people and all we saw last time coming off the ferry was D&B and that clubby place next to it. We didn't want to venture too far because it was late and our first time in Philly.
Definitely looking forward to having some fun :o)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
So, I'm going to be checking Yelp too, but thought I'd ask you ladies directly.
A group of us are coming into Philly on Saturday to go to the Jimmy Buffett concert over in Camden. Last year, we wanted to go out when we came back and ended up at Dave and Buster's (lame, I know) because we didn't know what else to do.
So any ideas on fun, laid back bars in the Olde City area? We're staying at the Comfort Inn near Penn's Landing. We're definitely not looking for a fratty meat market scene since we're all either married or engaged. And we're probably still going to be in our clothes from the concert so a dress code probably won't fly ;o)
Thanks in advance :o)
