So far I would recommend Brides and Grooms in Newark DE. No sales tax, ask for Faith the consultant, they carry Mori Lee and have really good prices compared to other stores. I had a really great experience and just ordered my dress yesterday.

@eecuadrado:  I am from NY but I travelled all the way to Jenkintown to find my dress at Nicole’s Bridal. It’s a family run business, the customer service is spectacular. Marina knows her inventory and can read a brides’ style within minutes of meeting the bride.  Give it a shot, you never know what you might find.

@eecuadrado:  I’d say go to Jersey. I got mine from Bridal Garden in Marlton, NJ which is right over the bridge. But Jersey doesn’t have crazy taxes on the dress. I had an AMAZING experience there.

If you want to stay in Philly try Sabrina Ann in Ardmore.

Do NOT go to bridaltown in collegeville. A friend ordered her dress there and it NEVER came. She had to get a new dress 2 weeks before her wedding.

I was going to look at Bridaltown but, like you, I wouldn’t approach the place because of the horrible reviews. Country Bride in Haddonfield, NJ was very nice! I liked Irma’s in Cherry Hill, NJ also. There are some closer shops in DE too and no sales tax!! Jennifer’s Bridal in Hockessin, DE and Fantasia in Wilmington, DE also provided excellent experiences-about an hour from Philly. I up getting mine at Alfred Angelo in Lancaster, PA and couldn’t be happier with my dress and my experience 🙂

I liked Anastasia’s in Wilmington, too. They had an amazing sample rack plus Maggies’ and Pronovias!

Go to Bijou in Ardmore (thats where I bought my dress) LOVE it there.  Or try Van Cleve in Paoli – also amazing, didnt find my dress here but I loved it so much I am going back to get my accessories there.
