Happy Anniversary!!! There is a Holiday Inn right around there. It’s pretty nice but I can only speak for the conference facilities, not the rooms.

But if I were going for a weekend, I’d stay in Center City where there is much, much more to do and see. Better restaurants and night life. Just hop the train to Citizens Bank Park if you want to do something around there. There are tons of reasonably priced hotels in center city. Try looking on hotels.com or orbitz. We blocked rooms for our wedding at the Sofitel and the Westin. The Latham was a little cheaper and really nice too.

It’s probably out of your price range, but my husband and I stayed at the Loew’s Philadelphia on our honeymoon exactly 1 year ago. It was AMAZING. We got a good deal by booking online and paying in advance, but I don’t think it was under $150. It’s smack dab in the center of Center City and in walking distance of all the major sights, Eastern State, the museum, Liberty Hall, etc. (but not the ballpark).

Try the Sheraton Downtown on 17th and Race! Its beautiful and close to lots of great attractions in Philly πŸ™‚ That’s where I booked the block of rooms for my wedding. Everyone at the hotel is super nice and helpful too!

@mrsw5711:  Please dont sleep near the ballpark.  Its not a good idea.  Stay in center city and enjoy the town.  You can take the el to the citizens bank from several places on broad street for $2 each way.  I recommend the Sofitel.  A hotel for under 150 is gonna be hard.  Good luck!

You can stay at the hotel where my wedding will be (Hyatt at the Bellevue) or across the street at the Doubletree (Hilton property) where we also have another room block. Both are very clean, nice and within walking distance to fun bars, restaurants and the subway (which will get you to the park).
