If you drive out towards Chestnut Hill/Roxborough area, that part of Fairmont Park is really nice. They have some great bridges, and even the only covered bridge located in a city! If you park at Bells Mill Rd and Forbidden drive and walk south on forbidden drive. This runs right next to the Wissahickon and you would get amazing photos all along the way until you get the the covered bridge (about a mile walk). Further down Forbidden drive is the Historic Valley Green Inn. If you drive down Wises Mill Rd, you can park at Valley Green and its very woodsy! check it out http://www.valleygreeninn.com/
Also see http://www.fairmountpark.org/index.asp for more ideas!
I work in that area of the park and can help with more specifics if you want!
Thank you! Do I need a permit to have photos taken in the park?

Hello bees! I am looking for a place in Philly, hopefully in the city, where I can get engagement photos taken that will look like I am in the woods. Or at least not in the city. Part of our shoot will be in the city and at the Italian Market. We want the other portion of our shoot to have different outfits and a totally different feel. For that portion, we are going for a camp-outdoorsy-blanket on the grass type of feel. Any suggestions? Rittenhouse is obviously too crowded and not at all 'woodsy'.
