I'm not sure how you feel about it, or where exactly you're looking at but The Stone Barn is a nice place ... not overly fancy, really - kind of sweet
There's this place, too:

Let me think about this - I might have some more ideas for you!
Me again :) I know it's a longshot, but could you look on Craigslist to see if someone has a rustic space they would be willing to rent out for your wedding?
When I was on the venue search, someone recommended Pizzadili Winery, which is in DE so it's a bit further out...but it looked kind of chill and rustic. I think it's more of a pavilion than a barn, and they don't have a website, but if you google it you can find the phone number. Could be worth a try!
the high point in great valley is an awesome venue, they just built a brand new barn in 2005, they actually hold their church service in there on sundays but its a beautiful space and they clear everything out for you, there is also a pre revolutionary church on the grounds with a beautiful garden, they just started doing weddings i'm thinking about having mine there cause its so cheap and there are no rules!!!!
I really liked the Barn at Birchwood. It's in Collegeville, PA (I think). The women that runs the place was really, really sweet. It ended up being too small for us, but you should check it out
I second the notion on the High Point. We almost booked it but didn't want to get married in their church, etc. Anyway, it's really pretty and the interior of this place is quite nice.
In Lancaster County, about 15 miles from downtown Lancaster near a town called Willow Street, is a gorgeous place called Pheasant Run Farms. Another we were so close to booking but for the amount of people we wanted, it wasn't large enough in their reception room. But, this place is GORGEOUS! And, it's a B&B, so if you want, you can rent out the entire place.

have any of your girls been to a wedding at bartram's garden???...im thinking about booking it
My husband and I just got married at a small B&B with a gorgeous rehabbed barn in New Hope, Bucks County, called Ash Mill Farm. www.ashmillfarm.com Their website doesn't even do it justice - I'd be happy to send pictures!
The High Point in Malvern, PA is a wonderful venue. It is an open framed barn on the top of the hill with an amazing view. It is available for just the reception, you do not have to be married in the 300 year old church or be of a religious affiliation to rent the venue. Most wedding receptions have a dance floor and serve alcohol available for their guests. The barn can house 200 guest in the main part of the building and has an outside porch area below to gather before dinner.

I am looking for a very simple barn in a pretty, rural/rustic setting to have a wedding reception. We'd like a barbecue, rather than a fancy caterer. We don't want a lot of frills, and instead are thinking of more of an earthy and casual type of atmosphere. A lot of the venues listed on Partyspace etc seem a bit too fancy, but we also don't want to do total D.I.Y. Any suggestions of a barn/barbecue venue?
