First of all let me say congrats!! Also great work on your vendor reviews. I'm actually getting married at Winterthur in May'09, but I'm planning it from Hershey PA! It's been crazy!! But I was wondering, how did you get that price for your hotel rooms? We are staying there bc its in outrpackage, but with blocking 50 rooms, they would only give me te rooms at 129.00. Did you do the website with them?

Hi prettyinpnk! My mom called the Sheraton, asked them what their room block rates were, and they gave her the $115 price. I signed the contract in January. They locked that price in until ~3 weeks before the wedding. Have you been talking to Denise Grose at the Sheraton Suites? She was my contact and she was really nice. I would just tell her that you've talked to another bride who booked her room block through the Sheraton and got the $115 rate. Maybe she'll bargain with you. I know that my guests were really pleased with the bang for their buck -- I was too, the rooms were really nice! What do you mean "did I do the website with them?" Denise did set up a website especially for our guests, and I linked to that website to our wedding website and our blog. Is that what you're talking about?

I used mary elizabeth too...but i was very disappointed that she couldn't show up in my wedding because she had to go to another wedding herself...Now i know it was your wedding. :) Yeah, i agree with your comments with mary's work. I am disappointed with her assistant who basically went panic when we decided to move the ceremony venue from outdoors to indoors because of rain.

So sorry Mary Elizabeth didn't work out for you! I had such high hopes after reading reviews like Mrs. Bell Pepper's, but she was way less detail-oriented than I had expected, considering how my mom and I spelled everything out for her. =(

I also reviewed the following Delaware vendors: Delaware Museum of Natural History (venue), Toscana Catering, Roadrunner Express (towncars), Jennifer's Bridal, Sherif Zaki Salon and Day Spa.
And a few more virtual vendors (Etsy sellers, Citywrites calligraphy, Vertallee Letterpress, etc.).
