I have normal semi-oily, breakout prone skin. I use benzoyl peroxide face wash and SPF daily, along with olay daily moisturizing cream. I have used Philosophy’s Purity face wash before and really liked it. I want to invest in some good skin care products in the months leading up to my wedding to insure my skin stays clear and smooth and looks great!
I am considering:
– Philosophy Microdelivery Peel kit
– Clarisonic (would probably use Philosophy’s Purity with it)
Has anyone used either of these products? Which would you reccommend – Philosophy or Clarisonic? Did they work or not? I am looking to keep my skin clear, smooth and minimize my pores, but I don’t have a fortune to spend. Any advice is appreciated…thanks!

I have not used those products (I use the Clinique 3 Step System, which I love) but I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Philosophy products I’ve used, which were mostly body washes, bubble baths, lip glosses, etc.

Your skin sounds like mine. Philsophy Purity is great as an everyday cleanser. I use it and also one other trick- Buf-Pufs to 3-4 times per week before bed.
Buf-Puf Single Sponges with Oil-Free cleanser are $5 for an entire box with about 40 sponges. These things keep large pores clean, and I’ve been using them for years. The soap is in the sponge, so you get it wet and lather it, then wash your face and throw it away afterwards. They are great to take with you when you travel beause the cleanser is already in there.
Buf Pufs are hard to find in the store, but I’ve been succesful at Ulta getting them. Buying online works too, I just always forget to stock up and all of the sudden I am desperate for more.
PS- Don’t buy the large reusable sponge- it is not very effective because it never really gets clean between each use. The singles are much more sanitary.
