Have you already sent a thank you?  If not, I would send a thank you email.  If you already have, I would give it another day or two, and then send an email inquiry.  You can google examples if you aren’t sure what to include in your email.  Either way, I would go for the email primarily because you can edit what you say before you send and because it is less invasive of their time.

I would just sent a short, and polite follow-up e-mail.

Dear ____.

I’m writing to follow up on the position at ______. You mentioned in your when we last talked that you were hoping to make some decisions last week, and I just wanted to check in on where things stand.

Then write briefly about why you’re interested/qualified in the job, pulling from your phone interview.

Are they open today? It is Veteran’s day so I would wait another day or so.

LOL! Then, yes, I would assume he would be at work today

If the manager looked at your profile on Friday I’d give it a few days. Maybe send an inquiry on Wednesday?

I always advocate sending a thank you email within 24 hours and then practicing patience. If they want to call, they will. Follow ups aren’t going to make them choose you and it may actually just annoy them. I have been a hiring manager in the past and it always annoyed me. If I chose you, I will call you.

@jpalm13:  Yes I think so. My guess is that they may be considering you for another position.

I would not follow up.  You have already sent a thank you note and you know he is looking at your profile so he hasn’t forgotten you.  I think you should just wait to hear from him.

If they are interested, they will call you.
