Hi ladies! I'm in search of a photo booth.  Can you guys recommend any good ones that are within reason of costs?  In addition, did  they charge you liability insurance?  I was going to go with this one that cost $1200 for 6 hrs but they also want to charge $130 for liability insurance.  Do you know any cheaper rental sites for LA area that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

$1330 is a great price for 6hrs in La or Sf. Average price is $1500-$2500 depending on if its digital or legit old fixer booths.

By the way... the cheesy photo booth company charges more than what you quoted so you're getting a deal.

I'm using Capital Photo Booth for our L.A. wedding. Darin has been great to work with and is even making a special 'break-apart' booth for ease of delivery (make sure your venue doesn't have a lot of stairs, etc. as the boothes are heavy!). Their rates start at $1500 for five hours.

    Good luck!

I am using Redcheese.com. They might have locations nationally. I am located in Northern California. We are paying 1400.00 for 4 hours. It's alot but its one of my 'musts' for the wedding.

    We booked http://rentphotobooths.com

They are $695 for two hours, $140 each add'l hour with an attendant. We're booked it for an all-day rental (w/o attendant), for $595 for 150 sessions (which, at 50 sessions/hour, will last us approx 3 hrs).

I plan to get the most usage during the first 2 hours anyway and leave the last 50 sessions to those who linger outside of the ballroom after dinner. I will just have one of the groomsmen or our DOC refill the paper periodically.

I could not find much info on them (references-wise), so we'll see how it works out. I looked in redcheese and cheesyphotobooths, but this company was signfiicantly more affordable. Rolland(the owner) was pretty informative and prompt to address any of my questions.

(btw, I am paying $595 bc they were running a 100off special in January).  Wedding's on 5/25 so you can pm- me afterwards for feedback.

Having a photobooth was also a must-have for me!  I'm located in Northern California and hired a nationwide company:

    www.partybooths.com

For 6 hours they're charging me $1045 for unlimited pictures, w/ no travel fees (since i'm having my wedding in SF), includes attendant for the whole time, and set up/take down time.  They're also letting us create our "logo" to go on the bottom of each photo:

Me & Him                                                                                      June 2008                                                                                           San Francisco California

      *also with our picture*

You also get a master copy of everyone's pictures to keep, so guests can take their pictures with them and you'll still get copies.  Photo booth cost? : wedding Icon Wink

I'm doing a photobooth...but it's not an actual booth. it's more of an area that my photographer is setting up with lights and a standing camera, which the associate photographer will take. It's for the whole night and I'm paying $50 extra on top of my photography package. Pretty much just paying for the rentals. I'll get the CD of all the images later and post it online that way everyone who took a photo can see it and order it themself. maybe that might work

    Ok. I am back.

You should check out www.RedCarpetPhotoBooth.com.  I have meet them personally.  They are a husband and wife team and super fun!  I saw them at my friends wedding and they will be at mine.  They even bring out the Red Carpet and Velvet Rope.
This is why I chose the Red Carpet Photo Booth:
    1.  Unlimited Prints.  I have a lot of people coming.
    2.  I researched a lot of companies to compare picture styles and theirs stood out.  It looked like their guest where having more fun and their pictures are artistically different. It is not old fashion looking like the carnival booths.
    3.  Photos print in like 8 sec.
    4.  They have an optional Custom Banner that they create for you to match your wedding colors.  It is easy, we just email back and forth until I like it.
    5.  They have 2 print options a regular one and one especially for the Scrapbook. (I chose the Scrapbook Style cause I want the book.)
    6.  They also offer to make the Custom Scrapbook/ Guests sign in Book.  (I am busy enough so this was a great option.)
    7.  They built the Booth themselves and wrote the software.  So, if anything that could go wrong they can fix it. (Less Stress.)
    8.  They say they bring replacements of every part, like cameras, printers, cables, computers, etc. (Lesser Stress.)
    9.  Even if the power goes out they have a back up battery system.  (Even more less Stress for me.)
    10.  They bring props like hats, boas, glasses that make guests have more fun.  (Believe me it was a blast!)
    11.  I also like how they have a ventilation system because I went to a wedding with another photo booth and it was super hot inside!  Too many people equals a lot of heat.
    12. They even play music inside the booth.
    13. I am also getting digital negatives.
    14.  Anthony and Sandra (the owners) will be the people helping my friends and family with taking cool pictures like they did at my friends wedding.  They interacted with us and made the photo booth at her wedding a hit with everyone.

I booked the Red Carpet Package that comes with everything and added the Scrapbook style print and Scrapbook.  It was almost $2,000 for 4 hours a bit pricey but what I have learned is you get what you pay for. I like them, I've met them, and feel comfortable with them.

Give Anthony a call at 562-587-0748.  He is way cool and easy to talk to.  Let them know Jocelyn sent you!

I've been shopping around for a while, and the best deal I've found so far is Cheesy photo booths.  Their price is really great considering they include everything in one package.  I'm thinking of booking them.  I got quoted for $1350 for 6 hours, with the scrapbook, double prints, CD and custom banner and backdrop.  Has anyone else found a better deal?  I like them the best so far, but it sounds like there's a lot of other companies out there.  Any suggestions?

What ever you do, do not rent from a company called rentphotobooths.com or Rolland Elliott.  I made the mistake of renting from him, and the photobooth was barely operational for a little more than half the night.  He also sent an inexperienced and young "technician" who forgot the power cable for the photo printer and instead of using the banner I designed, he advertised his companies' name on the bottom of the strip.  I have been trying to contact him for the past 2 months to get at least some of my money back and the cd of photos the contract included, but he is unresponsive.  If you look him up on the BBB, he has more than 8 complaints against him.
