Honestly, I really hate video of myself so I probably wouldn’t record anything even if it had a video option. I like plain old photos 🙂

@hamachi: I think the photo booth would probably be more appealing to most guests. I know I would favor it, just because it has a special feel to it. I have always had pleasent memories attached to photo booths. Maybe that is why I think they are the best pick.

I definitely like the photobooth better. I think you’ll get more guests doing it because it’s familiar and has a privacy screen. The video booth is interesting, but looks like a strange gargantuan iPad with a camera on it. I’d be a little scared to use it!

I think the video booth is cool. We’re doing something similar: one corner of the reception site will have various cloth “backgrounds” they can hang and we are just setting up a video camera on a tripod. Guests can click “play” and then record their message, then hit stop when they’re done. My brother is going to edit out the in between stuff so we end up with a video of people leaving us messages!

We had a photobooth at our wedding, where the guests got a copy of each of their pictures.  Then we also had Acrylic picture frames that the strips would fit into as well – which also doubled as our Place Cards!  I’ve included a picture below from the reception – wish I had some better pics, but the photographer didn’t take many of the Place Cards.

I’ve had so many positive comments/questions on these that I created an etsy listing to offer my services!  I’ll create your Place Cards for you & do all the work, so all you need to do is put them into the frames!  Or I can do it all:

Even if you don’t use my services for this, I think it’s a great idea and a good way to save money!
