Yesss!!!  I always love them at weddings, and decided to get one when we saw a Groupon– it was SUCH a big hit, people are still talking about it.  In retrospect I absolutely would have paid full price for it– it was so worth it.

One thing that was great about ours, was that our venue coordinator had them set up right by the dance floor… made it easy to pop in and out.

We had a photobooth and loved it.  Our guests really loved it.  We got some great pictures!

We used it for our guestbook, also.  The photobooth equipment spit out two strips of each set of photos.  One for the guests to take home, and one that they could put in our guestbook/scrapbook and they could write a little note to us on the page.

Ours also had the functionality where you could email the pics out.  Everyone really loved that!  They could email them to themselves or family or whatever.

I would say no.  Yes it was fun at my wedding but EVERYONE was crowded around it doing multiple shots and barely anyone on the dancefloor.

If anything, get one that they set up a background coordinating with your theme OUTSIDE of the venue and hire a photog just for that area (or the photogs assistant).  Set a small time limit to complete…and continue on with your party!

Personally, I think photo booths are overdone at this point.  It was fun the first couple of weddings I went to, but now it is at every single wedding and feels kind of old.  Plus they are expensive.  We are putting the money we are saving from not having one into a huge sweet table (which having a sweet tooth I know that I would enjoy a lot more).

I’ve been to a few weddings w/photobooths and they seem to go over really well.  I just booked one for my wedding.  I’m doing that instead of favors…we found a good deal so decided it was worth the money, didn’t want to spend $1K + for the photobooth!  Hopefully the pictures come out nicely…

Our guests loved it and best of all we have nice, professional and fun photos of many of our relatives and friends that we wouldn’t otherwise have. They were great to send out with the thank you cards. Ours was part of our photography package. IMO you could DIY one fairly easily. Find a well lit portion of the room or set up a light, a backdrop, get some dollar store props and a decent camera and boom, you’re good.

Our photo booth broke down half way through (boo) but I still don’t regret getting it. Our guests LOVED the photobooth. Particularly during cocktail hour as it ‘set the tone’ for the wedding and got everyone in the mood for fun.

It actually worked out well for us that it broke down when it did – as people were enjoying the music.

My daughter is having a flip book booth.  They can print duplicates for everyone in the picture.  No one she knows has had flip books yet.  They are really cute.

The two weddings I’ve been to with a photo booth were AWESOME. One couple had put it out in the foyer and that one didn’t get as much attention though. Make sure it’s on the dance floor or at least very close!

Also – these are pictures you don’t have to wait forever for. You’ll get to see these guest pictures within 72 hours.

We had one and everyone loved it.  While I’ve seen them “everywhere” in the planning process our wedding was only the second wedding we’ve been to that had one.  My 1 recommendation is to open photobooth at a different time than the dance floor.  We opened both at the same time and the dance floor was slow to get started because everyone was photoboothing!  To not have it be “over done” we made props that showed our relationship and would have special meaning for our guests and us!
