How about a DIY photo booth? It costs practically nothing! You can build a frame from wood. Buy fabric to put over it as a backdrop (Joanne's often has very cheap fabric thanks to sales). Then all you need is a camera and a tri-pod and BOOM, you have a photo booth. Put the camera on a self-timer and let people snap away. A little sign with instructions on how to use it is always a bonus too.

Can your photographer provide one? When my clients want one I just use about an 8x8 area of venue for cool portraits with little props.

We're thinking of getting one too. A number of people have told us to use photobooths.com and that apparently they don't negotiate on rates, but they're the most reasonably priced out there.

We're going the DIY route. In fact I'm thinking about offering it as a servcie too. We're doing a vintage wedding so I'm building a vintage style camera (back box with lense) to house a digital camera and computer. Also have a commercail grade photoprinter. Putting everything together only costs about $500 and shoudl work great.
