We are having around 400 total to our wedding and plan to do a photo guestbook. They are just more modern and fun compared to the old school “sign your name on the line” books. So my first questions is how many pages would I need with 400 total attending, and I would assume 250 to sign since one per couple would sign the book.
Also, does anyone have any good or bad comments about Shutterfly for photo books? Or any other place you prefer? I received an email for $20 off any photobook, free shipping, and 30% off the 12×12 so I would get it for around $20, when it is normally $55. I can’t say no to a deal, unless they are bad quality. Thanks everyone!

I used Shutterfly for my photo guestbook. I am still waiting for it in the mail. I had soo much fun making it! There are so many options that you can do. My only advice is that they will only allow you to use one coupon or discount at a time. I have gotten shutterfly gift cards for a lot of stuff throughout the planning process and they will only allow one at a time and I couldn’t even use free shipping with it. But all said and done my 12X12 book with 31 pages was $35 so I didn’t think that was bad at all.

The Shutterfly one has an upcharge layout (I think it’s $5) where you can insert pages for more traditional “sign on the line” types.
I suppose you can guesstimate how many people would sign each page and then extrapolate from there.
250 sigs/5 sigs per page = 50 pages
250 sigs/10 sigs per page = 25 pages
We’ll probably do a Shutterfly guestbook; we are having such a small wedding though that I think we’ll end up having a lot of big photos in ours.
