Hi all,

We just ordered a photo guestbook just like several of the bees had. I wondered if anyone else had any recommendations on what type of pen won't smudge or bleed through the pages. We ordered from MyPublisher.

Mrs. Caramel did a post on this, but I don't think she ever followed up with what pen worked for her.

I bought a pack of colored drawing pens from Staples. I believe the brand is Staedler? They did smudge if someone wiped their hand across the writing very quickly but they didn't bleed through the pages. I think a fine point permanent marker would work best.

We used high quality ballpoint... nothing with an gel ink to prevent smudging. We noticed that some people used their own pens, which did smudge and bleed through... but the ballpoint was perfect!

I also had a Mypublisher photo guestbook. I bought 4 Extra Fine Point Sharpies (from Target). Not just Fine point - EXTRA fine point!!!! These worked like a charm, no smudging whatsoever!

I actually went to a stationery store with the same question, and the lady there tested a bunch of pens on some glossy paper for me. Extra fine point sharpies won out, so that's what we used, and it was awesome!! they dry right away...
