@pengoala: Thanks! It was so nice to have a fun break with just the bridal party before joining all the rest of the guests at the reception. It was a way to just bask a bit in the moment of being newly married before joining in on everyone's excitement at the reception.
Lovely! The boat is so fun :) And that food is making me hungry lol
@techie: Thanks! I think my BMs liked them and I hope they have been able to use them since the wedding.
@ladyartichoke: I love the way the setup turned out. Unfortunately I didn't even have any! But we got to take the cheeses home so I had some the next day.
Oh man, that food looks mouth watering, and you looked beautiful! You guys got some great shots!
awwww very nice! That food looks delicious! I love the colors of your ladies pashminas.
@MrsMcGyro: Thanks! My photographer, Meredith Perdue, was fantastic! I would recommend her to anyone!
@ButterflyDoll: Thanks! The pashminas came from the Asia Society gift shop in NYC. My mom picked out all the colors and I Think they look fantastic.
I originally wanted to get everyone the same color, but she was definitely right in picking all those different colors.
I absolutely adore your shoes. They are gorgeous. And that food is making me hungry too and it's only 10am here :)
I love the cocktail table centerpieces! Everything about your wedding is so gorgeous!
@jo.lee: Thanks! I had totally forgotten about centerpieces for the cocktail tables, but my florist took care of it and it looked beautiful!
I absolutely love your shoes and the bridesmaids shalls--- what a fabulous idea for a pop of color! :)
@WolvLove: Thanks! I love my shoes too and I'm glad my photog got some good pics of them.

Getting Ready
Ceremony
Now on to the post ceremony action, cocktail hour, and our amazing food!
After the wedding was over, DH, the bridal party and I headed to our transportation to the reception. The launch from the yacht club. I got all my bridesmaids pashminas for the boat ride:
Headed down the ramp to the boat. MIL got me the shawl when she was on vacation in Turkey:
All settled in on the boat:
Guests from the reception waving at us going by:
Waving back to my guests. DH is telling me to pretend we don't know them.
Our guests watching us arrive at the dock:
DH helping me off the boat. I LOVE this photo:
Now on to cocktail hour. Guests were greeted with champagne (well cava), fresh apple cider, wine, and water. Funny story, one of our guests decided that vodka went really well with the cider and so most of the other guests caught on. We started the evening with 4 bottles of vodka and our catering staff had to go out twice to buy MORE vodka because the cider/vodka drink was such a big hit! Keep in mind we had less than 100 guests and almost all the liquor was left over!:
Mini Lobster Tostadas were passed (also passed were crab puffs, mushroom arancini, shaved bressola with Parmesan and micro greens, and corn fritters. We also had a "wonderful things wrapped in bacon bar"... yum!):
Our delicious table of apples and local cheeses:
Cocktail table centerpieces:
And our food, all served buffet style. Who says buffet has to equal chafing dishes?
Roasted seasonal vegetables
Potato and leek gratain:
Roasted local halibut with a green sorrel sauce:
Our amazing beef tenderloin (served with an italian salsa verde):
And the plates made for DH and I, my mouth is watering just looking at these photos!
And the view everyone enjoyed during cocktail hour:
Next up, toasts, dances, cake cutting, crazy dancing reception and my DH's surprise wedding gift to me.
