Preveiously:
Girls Getting Ready
Boys Getting Ready
Our Flowers
Our ceremony was absolutely amazing. Our celebrant, Russell Healy, did such an awesome job. He made us feel really at ease and was just the right amounts of funny and serious. Both of our Dad’s did beautiful readings and it was a real family affair! This was by far my favourite part of the day.
Here are some of the small details:
Reserved Signs:
Petal Cones:
Programs:
Poor DH, he looks so nervous! Everyone later commented on how nervous he was acting up there on the stage!
The wedding party processional:
Our gorgeous flowergirl! (our neice and goddaughter, being carried by my lovely SIL)
Our super-cute ring bearer, my cousin (he ran down the aisle to get to his mummy!)
Waiting nervously out the back for my cue
The moment that DH saw me: (this one makes me cry every time). I had never seen him cry before.
I started crying as soon as my processional music started playing
Here’s me trying to hold back the ugly-cry:
Listening to my Dad’s beautiful reading:
"Love is a mighty power, a great and complete good; love alone lightens every burden, and makes the rough places smooth. It bears every hardship as though it were nothing, and renders all bitterness sweet and acceptable.
The love of Jesus is noble, and inspires us to great deeds; it moves usalways to desire perfection. Love aspires to high things, and is held back by nothing base. Love longs to be free, a stranger to every worldly desire, lest its inner vision become dimmed, and lest worldly self-interest hinder it or ill-fortune cast it down.
Nothing is sweeter than love, nothing stronger, nothing higher, nothing wider, nothing more pleasant, nothing fuller or better in heaven or earth; for love is born of God, and can only rest in God, above all created things."
Saying our personal vows to each other:
Apparently they were quite the tear-jerkers!
Our ring exchange:
Listening to FIL’s reading:
"Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other
Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other
Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you
May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead, and through all the years
May happiness be your companion
And your days be good and long upon the earth"
THE KISS!
So happy!
Lots of hugs all round!
Making it official:
We had our Mum’s be our witnesses; they said they felt really honoured.
Walking back down the aisle! (and having petals thrown at us!)
Sigh, I want to do it all over again!
