We’re having a small destination wedding with 20-25 guests, and my future mom-in-law is treating us by purchasing the wedding cake.
She’d like it to be 3 tiers. And because it’s a destination wedding, we can’t freeze the top tier.
Does anybody have photos of a smaller 3-tiered cake to share? Also, what diameter is each tier??
I don’t want to waste a bunch of delicious food, but I don’t want the cake to look ridiculous because each tier is tiny. Any suggestions are very appreciated!!!

@tex_in_tenn: Have you heard of dummy cakes? You could have however many tiers of real cake that you want, and have them stacked with a layer of a dummy cake. I think some bakeries may be willing to work with you on that but i’m not totally sure.

@tex_in_tenn: Try http://www.cakecentral.com you may have to join in order to see the pics but that only takes a minute
this one is only 2 tier
The baker can make the bottom layer a dummy or styrofoam layer. It doesn’t usually save any money because it’s the decorating of the cake that costs money in terms of labor.
