If you’ve recently set up a photo sharing site….how did you do it? I’ve tried the Flikr and Shutterfly options and when i test it out, i can’t get it to accept emailed pictures from non-members. I’m usually not this IT-challenged 🙂
Looking for a site where we can post the URL so people can view but also an email address or text # so people can send in their pics w/o logging in and the whole run around…

*bump* hopefully someone can help…
An idea would be just to make an account with the intent of giving out the username and password so no one has to sign up for it.

I was looking for that exact same thing! A friend told me about iRave. You apparently get a web address and an email address. Provide both to your guests and they have a way of uploading photos (by attaching them to an email and emailing them to that address) and viewing the photos (by visiting the web address). You get to choose the username that creates the email and web address as well.
I was pretty excited when I heard about it, however I’m having a doozy of a time actually signing up. I’ve been at it for about 2 weeks. Problem is, I’m not ever receiving a confirmation email so that I can activate my account. I’ve tried two different accounts with two different email addresses, and nothing! It’s frustrating because it seems to be the perfect solution.
Maybe you will have success. Let me know!

Alright, I’ve done a little more digging and have found two sites worth checking out.
http://www.theweddinglens.com This is a pay site but it seems to be pretty nice. It looks like you get a customized URL and can hand out access codes to the guests so they don’t need to register. It looks like prices range from $48 – $240 depending on the plan one chooses. (I’m assuming it’s USD. I live in Canada.)
http://www.weddingphotoswap.com I think this is the one I’m going to go with. It’s free so it doesn’t to seem to have quite as much customer service as the last site. I don’t think you get a URL; the guests have to visit the home page and type in a numbered wedding code and password that you have provided. Not too shabby for a free site. The home page seems straight forward and easy to spot the “Guest Log-In” button atleast. The only trouble I’m having is that I’ve tried out a few test uploads and now I can’t delete them. So, I’m waiting on someone to get back to me with help on that one.
Anyway, hope these do the trick for you. I know I’m relieved to have finally found something. I’m going to print out the access code and password on the back of the guest’s place cards so I guess I can finally print those out!

Try Yogile. Really intuitive. You have to pay for unlimited storage (like $20), but it is so easy to upload or email pics. No membership required. I even added a little widget to our wedding website so guests can upload right from there.
