We used Microsoft Powerpoint with automatic transitions and movements. Pretty easy, just click and insert the pictures, insert a fancy schmancy background and then take the time to adjust each page to transition correctly. Some of our pages were 10 seconds some were 20 depends on how many images were on the slide. PM me if you have any questions, but I am sure you could find some tutorials online.
iMovie. I used to to make a slideshow for a wedding I was in this past September. Very easy to use, and you can edit photos to zoom, edit sound tracks and blend the music to transition better as well.

We want to make a photo slideshow to show at the reception. Does anyone have any suggestions for software to use for this?
Thanks!
