I haven't tried Photobook or Mixbook yet, but we've ordered a few things from Shutterfly and have been very happy with them
I haven't ordered from Photobook or Mixbook, either. I ordered a hardcover book from Shutterfly in January of this year and was really pleased with it. However, after a year of being flipped through by myself and a few other people, some of the pages are starting to come loose from the binding. I probably won't be using Shutterfly for my guest book for that reason.
I've used all 3 and just got my Mixbook yesterday! I think the quality is fine, very similiar or identical to Shutterfly. I have no complaints with either. But I do think the Photobook is slightly better because the pages are a tiny bit thicker and have a bit more weight to them. But for the money - I think the photobook groupon is $35 right, and that doesnt include shipping, it comes out to $42ish for the book, and the Mixbook groupon I got was $15+7 shipping is only $22. For double the price I'm on the fence if its worth it for slightly thicker paper.
@beekaye: I've used shutterfly for years and have at least 20 books and never had a problem. The other great thing about Shutterfly is that their customer satisfaction policy is GREAT. If anything at all is wrong with the book, or you feel the color or anything is off... just call them up, and they will ususally send a new book right to you free of charge. I've had to do this 3 or 4 times.
And about customer service, I found photobook america to be really unforgiving. I made a mistake, granted it was my mistake, but they didnt offer to reprint the book for me even if I returned the old one. All they would do was offer me like 20% off if I wanted to order it again. I guess they dont HAVE to, but meanwhile, I'd made a similar mistake with shutterfly and they were quick to offer me a free book credit to make the corrections and reorder it. I'm not sure how forgiving Mixbook is, anyone with any experience with that?

thanks everyone! I'm going to research this some more before I decide. Being in Vancouver, Canada I want to be sure I'm working with a company that provides good customer service and won't ding me with extra shipping or brokerage fees.

how are you making your guestbook? DIY, or using one of these popular companies? I've known couples who made their own with a mac program, but I'm considering Photobook since today there is a groupon for them in my city.
I don't want just photos though, my partner and I like the idea of pages with prompts for the guests to fill in. Not mad-libs, but questions like where they came from and predictions for the future, etc. I've seen some cool templates in the DIY section on here.
For those of you that have their guestbook already, who did you use or how did you make it?
