My fiance and I are looking at photographers for the wedding and we found one who has a photobooth.  It is just like a real photo booth, not just a white backdrop and camera like some photographers provide.  I was really exicted about this one, because it prints out two sets of pictures (4 in each set), one of which would go to the guest and the other going to us.  At the bottom would be our names in the colors of our wedding.

The problem is, it is really expensive, so we were thinking about using this in place of our favors rather than boxes of candy.  Do you think this would be okay or do you think people would feel cheated? I thought it was a great idea, but my fiance wanted me to check around to see if it would be worth it.

We did this as favors and our guests loved it! We also used the second strip for our guestbook

@LGenz: That's a great idea! The photographer suggested it, but his were rather plain...I think we could throw something more creative together though! I'm glad people loved it. That was my fiance's main concern...

YES, do it!! A friend of ours just did it for their wedding, (first time I'd ever seen it), and it was probably the best favor I've ever gotten - SO fun!! we actually even ended up framing the photostrip we took there, as they are some of Mr. PP's favorite photos of us :)

Do it! actual favors tend to be more of a waste of money - people forget them or dont want them - i had a photobooth but i also did favors and everyone took their photobooth pictures but i was left with 2 boxes of favors at the end of the night.

I'm planning to do the same thing. It's entertainment/guestbook/favor in one. It was what made me think the investment was worth it.

    That's what we're doing!

I have soooo many wine openers/coasters/random things from weddings...we recently went to a wedding where they did photobooth favours and we LOVE the pics so much we framed the one of us!

Also, we are having the gallery online (with a password) so our guests can view them afterward.

We did this and guests love it so much that most of them spent the evening at the photobooth rather than the dance floor! Our setup was pretty big and up to 15 people can get in on the shot so a lot of our guests got huge group shots together. They also had a huge variety of props to choose from. We had a laptop and printer set up there so that guests could take 4x6 photos home with them in our monogrammed photo folders.
