I’d never been to a wedding with a photobooth or even considered one for my wedding, but my parents won one at a auction so we used it. Best. Thing. Ever. Seriously everyone loved it and had soooo much fun! We did ours in the hallway next to the bar so people grabbed a drink and did it. It was an open air one so it didn’t take much space. We had over 300 guests so while there were always a ton of people doing it, there were lots of people dancing, etc too. The pictures we have are amazing. We didn’t get professional pics of everyone there but we have their photobooth pics are they are so much better! Some people just aren’t going to dance anyway so this would give them something to do instead. As long as your friends and family are fun it will be a huge hit. DH’s family is very reserved and quiet so not many of them did it, but all our friends and my family had a ball with it.

Engaged1026:  We didn’t have a cocktail hour so we just did from after dinner until it ended, so I think it was like 7-11ish. I think 3 hours would be fine, you could start it at cocktail hour or after dinner.

We did a photobooth.  It was everyone’s fav part of the reception!  We did the photo guest book with extra prints from the booth.  It is so funny to look at and read the comments….you can so tell which pics were done later in the night!  Ours was also set up near a bar so everyone was able to get drinks while they were waiting.  I think we had ours for 4 hours and it was used constantly for all 4 hours.   And I don’t think it took away from mingling….I actually think it encouraged it.   We got a password for a website with all the pics on it and we were surprised to see all the different combos of people that got pics done.   Some people didn’t even know each other until that night!   I say its totally worth it!

We are having one too. I can’t wait! I did get the photo collage doubles too so they can keep 1 and then put 1 in a guest book. I truly hope we have the same experience as Cupcake105:  did. I got 4×6 frames for everyone as one of the favors. Ours is more of a photo booth wall with cut outs where frames are and a couch in front, tons off props so it can fit a lot of people! We are having it at 3:30-8 from cocktail hour to end of reception.

We are having one as well! It never crossed my mind until I saw an ad for it at a wedding show I went to.  They were $400 for 3 hours and it went up from there. We just went with 3 hours, but ours has a green screen where guests will chose from 5 different backdrops and props.  They get an immediate printout and we get a USB at the end of the night with all photos.

I’m super excited, our reception will begin either 5 or 6, and we’re having it set up probably 7/8-10/11, because we figure with 150 guests and a sit down dinner, it will take at least 2 hours. No point wasting time having the booth up during dinner when (hopefully) most guests will be sitting and chatting.
