I guess I must live in a cave but I’ve never heard of photofacials.

Oh!  You’re getting married on my 30th birthday!  🙂

I’ve never heard of that either, but if its something that you’ve never tried before you might want to wait until after the wedding, especially if your skin is very sensitive.  A good concealer should take care of any dark spots or imperfections, and you won’t have to worry about any crazy side effects.

Yep. I had several.

I had pretty bad sun damage when we returned from Costa Rica. I had a “mask” on my face, where the tan/sun coloring was uneven. It did a great job! But, it’s not like a typical facial. Typical facials are relaxing, fun and make you feel great! A photofacial is uncomfortable. Not enough to make you cry, or anything, but it feels like rubber bands being snapped on your skin.

It was worth it. And I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had damage again.

I’m not sure if it is a laseer or a light, but I think it is a laser. I wouldn’t be concerned about scarring. I don’t think it is potent enough. But it’s a good question to ask the person doing it- what the risks would be.

If you only ave a few spots here and there, it might not be worth doing. I literally had a mask on my cheeks, so it was worth it for me. I think there are creams on the market (trentoin, maybe??)- that might be just as helpful and more reasonable if it is only a few spots.
