That is frustrating, he should have told you longer if it’s his busiest time of year. But I can also totally understand that this time is probably crazy with weddings and graduations and all that.. I would wait to be upset until you see them! I’m sure he just wants to get you a good quality product, so try to think of it that way! 2 1/2 weeks is pretty good turnaround time for edited photos, I think, anyway…!

@kelseymadeline: Wha?! Bummer. I hope that he will give your wedding the same priority next year. The anticipation must be maddening. * HUGS *

I learned that its best to over estimate the time than under for this reason, sometimes things just come up! He probably had full intentions of getting them to you within a week however I think he probably should have emailed you a few days ago just letting you know he’s running a little behind. 1 week is too fast to get quality edited images back, unless it was slow season. I would want to wait at least 2 or 3 weeks anyways, just helps him not rush with them.

Hmm maybe he could send it through UPS or FedEx? Or are they on strike too?

Is your wedding pic turnaround timeframe in your contract?

Also, sucks you have to wait longer. I know its hard but it should be worth it next week when you get your amazing photos :).

A week turnaround is pretty agressive in this season for E pics.  Your photographer is probably prioritizing weddings which they should be doing and when your wedding comes up you will appreciate.  That being said, hopefully he uses the added time he asked for wisely and sticks to schedule.  It may be a good idea to check in a few days before they are due and see how he is making out.

As much as it stinks waiting, at least your photographer is waiting until the appropriate amount of time can be spent on your pics instead of just rushing out something subpar to meet deadline.

My (Previous) Photographer promised a 2-3 week turn around while adding “I’d rather overshoot and be on time, then undershoot and be late”. Three weeks later, no pictures. After emailing her, she gave me the link to my album of 25 rushed to put up pictures, not the promised 150. After expressing dissatisfaction, a week goes by and still only 25 pictures. This is all after she “worked us in” on our photo shoot date due to us not being on her “correct” schedule. Hope things work out better for you!
