my understaning is yes. my photog has a clause in his contract that we must feed him. I'd call your catering company to ask just to be sure.
Yeah - they should be given meals. You could include a 'vendor count' in addition to your final guest count to your venue, they may have a cheaper vendor price.
Yes and no. My venue asks how many professionals will be attending so they can factor them in and provide meals but the meals are far less elaborate/fancy. So they want a break down of adults, teens, children and vendors.
Find out from your caterer. They probably have a vendor meal, so you'll want to give them a guest count and a vendor count.
Yup, I'll be giving my venue/caterer a vendor count (2 photogs, 1 DJ, 1 MC, maybe a DOC)... they will provide vendor meals using the "leftovers" and they'll be much cheaper than the regular plates (thank goodness)! :)

By the way I don't think our contract has anything about feeding the photographer and she was saying something about bringing granola bars with her, LOL! I felt kinda bad that what with all that delicious food being served that she wouldn't get to eat any of it!
We did include our DJ and photographers into our count. We provided them with meals, so we wanted to make sure they were included.
We had a separate area marked "Vendor Meals." They ate the same food as us, just at a reduced price
try and get vendor meals from them - it's discounted. and i don't think they get alcohol. mine ended up throwing in the vendor meals for free.
they'll be included in ours...but it's buffet for us, so it's kinda easy...

I'm sure this has been asked before so I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive... but when you give your caterer your final headcount is it supposed to include the photographer and DJ? How does it work, do you still have to pay for them as if they were guests?
