Hi fellow bees,
I was hoping for some feedback on a photographer. I found Kristen when I was looking for photos of my wedding venue and I love her work! She is in my price range and when I spoke to her on the phone she seemed like a great fit for me and my Fiance. I just want to get some feedback from other brides-to-be on what you think of the work. Trying to get all my major vendors booked!
Thanks in advance for any feedback! 🙂

Her retouching isn’t to my taste, but she is WAY cheaper than she should be.

I would say her skills are reasonable, as is the pricing!

Love it and agree that I would expect her base rates to be at least twice what they are!

I would definitely hire her. Her skills and pricing are reasonable.

She’s got really lovely photos, a great price and the bonus of the fact you connected with both her personality and her work!
I really think that’s one of the main things too – there’s heaps of great photographers who will do a nice job but you also want someone who is going to help make your day easier and who has a similar attitude and style to how you want your wedding to run in the way the approach their job. It sounds to me like she’s the one for you!

I really like her work, it’s not over done and artsy-fartsy and her prices are very reasonable. Hire her!

I like her work. If you met with her and like her, I say go for it! 🙂

I like her. Her prices are good, her photography is my taste, and if you clicked with her, snatch her up!

Thanks for the input ladies! I’m hopefully gonna get started on the booking process!

I did not see if you get full printing rights of the images though. That was a must for me.
You might have to buy each individual photo you want – probably why her base is so cheap.
- Wedding base coverage currently begins at $1695.
- Portrait sessions currently begin at $125 including your choice of image as an 11×14” textured, mounted print. Print and product collections begin at $150 and à la carte ordering begins at $200.
- Digital image files are available for both weddings and sessions.
- All orders are subject to sales tax.
- Prices and products are subject to change. A signed contract and retainer is the only way to reserve the date and current coverage price for you. Print and product prices are only reserved when the order is placed.
Yeah you have to buy the photos separately. Get the full pricing on this stuff before you book! Ask if you have to print through her or can you go elsewhere.
She is good, but the editing is not my style.

I definitely double checked with her and yes, printing rights are included for the price on the contract she sent me, so I think that’s okay. But if I do an engagement session I don’t automatically get the disc. I would have to buy the engagement session pics. I’m not sure if it’s in our budget to do an e-session though anyway but I really want one 🙁
I’m just a little nervous that two Bees here said the editing isn’t in style or something. I don’t know what to look for. This is a lot of money to me and I want to make sure I am not getting bad editing.
