Random question – did your photographer come in the limo with you? Ours has an assistant too and I just realized we won’t have room for both! I’ve done some googling (and poking around here) and sounds like both approaches (in limo or separate) are acceptable but just wanted to do a poll to see what the current trend is!
ETA: my original post must have been confusing! I’m asking if I’m expected to give my photographer a ride? Because at this point, we don’t have room for her!

Not myself, (my photographer was actually my ride lol), but my friend had him ride with them and the limo pics were pretty amazing!

Didn’t have a limo. I think they are pointless, personally, plus I don’t think the ride is particularly worth photographing if it costs extra. If it doesn’t, maybe have one ride & one drive alone.

No. I didn’t actually have a limo either. But I got photographed getting in, while I was inside, and getting out. I think that was enough.
I did recently see a groom post a bride+groom selfie in the limo though!

I VOTED NO…
First Wedding (circa 1980) we had a Car & Driver (not a limo, a sedan car)
Like paula1248: we were photographed getting in and out…
Me arriving at the Church with my Dad – Groom & I getting in – And then seated inside (3 or 4 shots total)
I guess I could see if the Bride rode to the Ceremony site in a stretch limo with her Maids then that might make for an interesting Photo Op.
Lol… this time round…
Elopement & Wedding on the beach = no limo.
Hope this helps,

thank ladies – I think my original post didn’t get my point across. I’ve edited it now. I’m more asking if I’m supposed to be responsible for our photographers transportation!

We had our photographer come with us because it would have been logisitically very challenging for her to get there herself. She presented it as an option, but having the wedding in downtown DC, it wasn’t feasible.
The best way to handle her expectations is to ask her how she wants to handle the transportation issue!

Our photographer did not ride in our limo. We had a senior photographer, a photojournalist, and an assistant, and they managed all of their own transportation.
