@baileyjosephine:  By all means, stop freaking out! He just posted ONE picture of many. When we did our engagement pics, there were plenty that the photographer was proud of and we hated. The photographer is probably looking at the lighting, the color, the placement. While you guys are looking at chins, guts, teeth, etc. Lol! There will be photos in there that you will love, I know it! 🙂

Sorry you didn’t like the photo he posted. That’s a drag. But, won’t you be able to pick the ones you like to have printed? I wouldn’t worry too much if you’ll be able to weed out the ones you don’t like before you get them printed to send out.

This totally happened to me – our photographer sent me a sneak peek where he was like, “this is my favorite one!” and I thought it was awful. But the rest of them turned out way better. It was definitely a nerve-wracking couple of days, though!

@baileyjosephine:  Oh, good! Well, at least you saw some already that you liked so that’s exciting. You’ll have them soon enough 🙂

@baileyjosephine:  I cried when I saw the one photo posted to facebook from our engagement session. I thougt the photo exaggerated every single insecurity I have and I was terrified that I would hate all the photos.

Turns out, they all looked great. Sure, I didn’t love all of them, but we have some amazing shots.

If you feel uncomfortable having him post your photo, you can always say that you don’t like having your photo posted so publically and ask him to take it down. I would not say that you don’t like it and therefore don’t want it on facebook.

@baileyjosephine:  It will be ok……

The one thing I learned is that no two people see a photo the same way.

I went onto my wedding photographer’s website where she wrote a small blog about the wedding and included a bunch of pictures.  I only liked two of the photos she posted.  However, I love, love, love a bunch of different photos that she took.

What I have learned about photography websites and facebook is that photographers are coming at your photos from a different perspective. While you may be focusing on your appearance, they could be looking at the lighting, the background, the creative pose, etc.  Photographers try to post a bunch of different photos on their website/facebook to look well rounded and interesting……

I am sure you will like a bunch of photos that are not posted…….

@baileyjosephine:  I had the same thing happen – the sneak peeks were okay, but I thought we had horrible faces in them.  I agree with PP’s who say the photographer is probably looking at lighting, details, artsy-ness.

Once we got our actual photos, there wereones that so many that I loved and thought looked way more like us!
