Hmmm...well this photgrapher may be a little out of your budget...but he offers discounts for December weddings. He has different rates based on 4 hours and goes up from there. I think his pics and what he gives you are absolutely wonderful for his price:

We were just looking into photographers and a photographer we really liked that wasn't available suggested www.kgmexpressions.com..I think her website says she charges like $1350 and thats for whole day coverage and with a second shooter. Her business is just getting off that ground so she offers great rates, I think. I am pretty sure that price doesn't include anything though like prints or albums. Just a suggestion:-)
May not be in your budget, but Sarah Schulte (my wedding photographer) and Cindy Patrick (her wedding photographer!) both do incredibly work out of Philadelphia. You can Google their names to find their websites (just their names with a .com). They're awesome.
New to the board...Kimberly Salem may be in your price range. She is out of NY but I think she travels to the tristate area.
hey megan - we are using morrissey photo for our pics (morrisseyphoto.net). their current package prices are so affordable - i also only wanted to spend $1000 on photography. their work is gorgeous and they have packages at $950 and $1150 and then go up from there. the only thing is that their prices are increasing after the new year, so if you're interested you'll want to move on this a bit faster.
we are using him...he is really good and very reasonably priced...if you click on client galaries you can actually see my engagement pics (jen-andy)!!!!
Isabel March Photography is great. She is our wedding photographer and not only is she great to work with and nice, her prices weren't too bad when I booked. I think she may have raised her prices this year because she's becoming pretty well known, but it's worth looking into!

Anyone have any good photographer recommendations? We had booked a photographer and took our engagement shots. They turned out horrible and he refuses to make good on the photos so we are back to square one. I have a tight budget. Looking for professional photos for $1000.
