I see absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t get a response within 24-48 business hours for ANY business. Even if she is busy, she should be able to email and say: hey i’m busy I’ll call you x. If she is out of town she should have an automatic responder set up to tell people. I’d say this is unacceptable. Find a new photographer, you need someone who is talented AND reliable.

2 months and no response? VERY unprofessional! I would call and leave a message explaining that you need her to get back to you asap or you will start contacting other photographers. Did you put down a deposit with them?

From my expierence…I would find a different photographer. I wish I would have done that BEFORE my wedding day because my photographer didn’t bother to show up for my wedding and I would hate to see this happen to you! Its emotional enough getting married without having to deal with all the extra stress of vendors not showing up.

There are many photographers out there who take great photos and are very professional. They actually want your business and do all they can to make sure you both are on the same page when it comes to your photos . You don’t need the stress of a photographer who isn’t going all out for you. They may take great photos…but in the end you might end up getting the shorter end of the stick.

yep, totally unacceptable. Have you paid her at all? Do you have a contract? Also, could you go to her office and “track her down”?

I would feel very upset too!

If you haven’t heard from your photographer in two months I’d start looking for a new one.  That really sucks.

If you haven’t given a deposit yet just book another photographer. If you have, then leave an assertive voicemail demanding your deposit back since you assume she’s not doing your wedding anymore.

Yeah.. that’s not cool.  I don’t think you’re overreacting at all.  I’d be looking for another photographer, pronto.  Do they blog?  If so, have they blogged since you’ve been contacting them?

So not cool. No vendor should leave you hanging for two months. Especially one this important. Definatley let them know that if you don’t get any response, you’ll assume they’re too busy for you and take your business elsewhere

2 months!?!?  wow.  Thats extraordinarily wrong.  I’m trying to stay patient with my hair stylist who hasn’t called back 2 days…

Whoa!!  2 months and no response?? 🙁

Too bad you gave her a deposit already.  Maybe something has gone wrong with her and the family?  Though that isn’t a good excuse to not respond, but you never know.  Has she kept her work updated or her blog?

How much did you put down for the deposit?

A photographer that doesn’t blog?  What about twitter or facebook?

Geez!  Can you get your deposit back from the reception hall?
