I believe Mrs. Avocado is starting her photog business. You should ask her what her price range is. Maybe it'll work?

Yeah. Mrs. Avocado has really reasonable prices for the '09 season. Don't know what she's planning to charge in '10, but you could certainly ask her.

I am having Mrs. Avocado take our wedding pictures, our engagement pictures! she does great work! I highly recommend her! Good Luck and keep me posted. Oh also do a search for photographer's and look for some with blogs! Just alot of searching but there is some out there..
I live in New York, but booked a photographer out of Texas. Their website is www.perezweddings.com, or www.perezblog.net.
They were willing to work with my price range (I had to give some things up, like albums and prints) so you might be able to work something out with them.
Their work is amazing, they are very popular (Mrs. Hydrangea used them!), and they are super cool. So cool that I booked them sight unseen! (Yikes!)
Check out Jessica Mooney--I interviewed her for my wedding, and I was really impressed. Her packages are very reasonable.

gee i wish i had known about Mrs. Avocado before we booked our photographer...her rates are super cheap for nice pics...even if we have to fly her down from Seattle! oh well :( boo!!
She actually lives in Dallas, so no flights necessary. Not to rub it in or anything..
Haha! I went to college with Jessica Mooney, I'm not sure if she remembers me though, so I would love to suggest her, I know she's a total sweetheart and super talented.
My photographer is Allison Davis who is talented like CRAZY. If she can make me look good, she can make anyone look good!!
Her packages start at $1250 as per her website, and she is very very sweet to work with.

Ok, so I got engaged last month on the 27th. I have no idea where to start on getting things ready for my wedding to be in April 2010. But I know photos are very important to me on that day.
So I've been looking at different photographers. My budget is small but all I can find are packages that are $2500 or more just on photos! Am I being too cheap or is this what I should keep expecting to pay? And should I be looking for video & photos together instead??
I'm located in Dallas, TX and if anyone has any suggestions as to who I could contact that would be great!
