Hi Ladies-

I know WB doesn't have a CT board yet, but I thought I'd give this a shot. Have any of you gotten married in CT? If so, did you use a photojournalist you would recommend? Particularly, we're looking at Orchard Cove Photography, but any other suggestions would be great! Here are a few of our parameters:

Budget -- up t $3,000, but we'd like to keep it closer to $2k
Photojournalist style-- unobtrusive, but captures everything; emphasis on candids
Not into special effects at all
Must have the printing rights, and get a HD CD or DVD with all usable images.

Hi Curious,

We're using Christy Murray (christymurray.com) out of Simsbury and she's great! We just had our engagement photos taken and are really happy with the results. Her prices HAVE gone up since we booked her (in 2008 for 2009), so she might be a little more expensive than you require, but her style seems to fit with what you're looking for, and I know that we had a lot of trouble finding a quality photog in CT for under $3K! Hi Curious, Give me a call and let's see if we are a possible match. I would need to hear more about your wants and needs to see if I am the right photographer for you. I photograph around the US and infact around the world so CT is certainly within my area. I am giving some nice extras right now too. Anyway I don't want to do a vendor thing on the forum so if you would like to email me you can here or go through my wesite but be sure and tell me that you are on the Weddingbee! I just changed website hosts so not everything is up yet. Hopefully I can be of help to you one way or another.By the way I am a career photojournalist so storytelling is what I do and without the chessy special effects!

Hello, I am a photographer (but in Seattle) and would definitely suggest these photographers to you. I don't know them at all and they don't know me but their work is beyond amazing. I think they are both based in NY/NJ area and really isn't that far from CT.

I used Netmartin, they are out of Cheshire. Absolutely, totally fantastic! We never even noticed they were there and they captured EVERYTHING. And they are totally affordable!
