Hi!! I'm getting married Fall of 2009 in TO. My FI and I live in Seattle, so will be planning long distance. Can anyone give recommendations for photographers?
I am a photographer that lives and works in Kingston (just 2.5 hours from Toronto). While I don't travel to Toronto, I do have a few photographer friends that do.
I am using 360 photography. They were really nice. My wedding is in Oct 2008 so I can give you an update after that on what I thought. My cousin used them as well and they were great apparently.
Hey pooka80. We're getting married in November 2009 and one of the most important things to us was photography. We started looking early and met with a few photographers. We knew right after meeting with Mariusc that we wanted to book with "Where Heaven Meets Earth" - I cannot recommend him enough!!! www.hephoto.ca
But my question is - what is your budget for photography? And what kind of style are you looking for. We wanted a more photojournalistic approach (not too many posed photos). Check out their website...his studio was even more impressive and he is such a nice guy!!!
We got our engagement pics done yesterday by the fabulous and talented Jessica Blaine Smith. She was AMAZING. We had sooooooo much fun, and she was a wonderful mix of creative and receptive to our ideas. I even sent her a powerpoint I put together of some engagement shots we'd really liked, and she was great about incorporating ideas we liked but with her own unique spin. My fiance is quite shy, and even he was totally comfortable, even though we were kissing and being all affectionate right in the middle of Bloor Street! I would definitely recommend her, hands down. Her rates were reasonable, too! If only we could afford to fly her to NS for our wedding... :(
I am using Brooke and Josie of Cipriano Palmer Photography in May 2009.. They have been really great so far and I can't wait for my engagement shoot coming up in the fall. Brooke is a movie stills photographer and Josie is more of a documentary/journalist style...
