- Wedding: September 2014
i am a bride with a set budget, I am working 2 jobs (1 full time and 1 part time) to help pay for our wedding and we have a daughter together.
Heres the thing: at another social gathering after a drink I got talking about photography and ended up asking a very good friend to take our wedding photos. She bought new DSLR (?) camera and she is very artsy/ specific but has little photography experience.
She will be taking our photos as a wedding present, and is coming to visit and do our engagement photos. I do feel wedding photos are important to me. How could I suggest hiring a photographer and using her as a second shooter without offending? I do want her to take pictures and I think she will do her best. I don’t feel pictures are worth ruining a friendship, and I’m not willing to pay a photographer more than 900$ for te day.
What should I do? I feel terrible for getting in this predicament in the first place but the budget was stressing me out!
