We are getting all of our pics edited on DVD so I am making up photo books (like Blurb) for the parents & grandparents. It is nice because I can print five copies at once of the same thing.
DH's parents: 8x10 of the family shot (us, his parents, BIL, SIL & niece) matted in a nice frame. My MIL also took a bunch of the misc. pics that I printed. Not sure what's she's going to do with them.
My mom: She got a few different ones. The pictures that I framed were of DH and I and me and my cousins (both 5x7's in matted framed). She has a few others of DH and I that she needs to frame.
My ex step-dad (parents just split right before Christmas): Framed 5x7 of him and I walking down the aisle.
My grandmother: 2- framed 5x7's of DH and I and me and my cousins.
DH's grandmother: Double frame (2-4x6) of us and MIL & FIL and us and BIL & SIL.
@red pepper gal- I was thinking of doing something like that on shutterfly but I know they want pictures in their houses too.
@CaitMarae- Thanks. It's helpful to see what you did.
@roxy821: Both sets of parents received an 8x8 adoramapix album, plus 2 photos of us as a couple, a framed family shot and 5x7s of the family shots that they were in. I gave my parents an individual shot of me, and hubby's parents an individual shot of him. My grandparent's received a shutterfly album, plus an 8x10 of us, a few 5x7s of the family photos they were in and then 4x6s of shots of other people they knew or met at the wedding.
For the record, his mom thought I went overboard, my mom asked for more photos....
We used MyPubliher and made photo books for both sets of parents, his grandparents and God father and two of my aunts. We gave them as Christmas presents and My Publisher tends to run offers where you can get a discount on multile copies of the same book so we did one style for his family and one for mine with a few picures tweeked accordingly. I also did small books for my BMs with mostly photos of the bridal party.
As far as printed photos, I did a Shutterfly collage for each of my (single) brothers and cousin. Parents and aunts got the CD and ordered what they wanted with me and I did 1 big order on Mpix or Adorama, I may have done two orders, one of 4x6 and 5x7 and another or larger prints for the walls. This was a great solution because the quality was better than CVS (where they would have went on their own) but the prices were still cheap enough that they each ordered a lot of photos and didn't feel like they had to make decisions or were missing out. I know they mostly got 5x7 with afew 8x10s It made my life easy by letting them decide which ones they wanted. My mom ordered a photo canvas of the family with a Groupon as well and it came out really nice.
We were all really happy with the quality of prints from both mpix and adormamprints and I would highly recommend using them over shutterfly or snapfish or anyone else. They are visably more professional quality and the price is not significantly different.
@mousegirl: I also felt his parents were overwhelmed with just a book and my mom and aunts wanted about 50 4x6s each to make their own additional books. lol
I gave each of our parents a copy of the DVD with all the photos, and then I just asked them what they wanted. My parents wanted an 8x10 of me and my husband, and an 8x10 of my whole family. DH's parents wanted two different 5x7s of the two of us, plus an 8x10 of his whole family.
For the grandparents, I gave them each three 5x7s - one of just the two of us, one of the two of us with the two grandparents, and one of the whole extended family. One set of grandparents later asked me for a copy of the DVD, so I gave them that too
ETA: due to a small printing error by MyPublisher on our wedding album (not hugely noticeable, but I wanted my wedding album to be PERFECT), we ended up with three copies of our wedding album (two with the small error). We gave the two free error copies to our parents, and they loved them!
@mousegirl- Go figure... one says you did too much and the other wanted more lol
@slicey19- Thanks for letting me know about which websites are better for prints.

Yes, I have been married for a yr and a half and still haven't printed pictures for our parents lol.
How many photos did you give your parents and/or grandparents? What size? And who were they of?
I'm not sure if I should give out parents pictures of just us, or the entire immediate family, or both. And then there are also some really nice pictures of them. And I don't know how large to get them done. I want it to be something they display but not that we are trying to take up their wall, mantel, etc.
