Those are beautiful! But is the girl in the first picture real? She looks plastic!
Rosychicklet - thanks for the pics! I saw the 1st photo you posted from my own search but not sure if that's the look I want since the lace mantilla tends to be flat on the top. the 2-tier ones tend to be a bit puffy on the top.
KMSull - the girl in the 1st pic (from the one I posted) is a mannequin, lol.
I've tried on a 2-tier veil (the puffy kind) and the lace mantilla. and have photos of both. I just need to ask my selection committee (ie. my mom & my future MiL & my FI) which ones suit me the best! I know its "my day" and stuff but sometimes when you're too close to the situation, you can't tell good from bad!

I've never seen a two tier mantilla either! I love mantillas and was very frustrated when I asked to see one when I was trying on dresses and the consultant didn't know what I was talking about.
I had a mantilla veil custom made.... it was ridiculously long, because my mom told them to make it 4 meters or something like that. I just had it pulled over my face during the ceremony to elbow length, and pinned to the crown of my head with some pretty jeweled bobby pins (for a total of 4, 2 on each side). When my veil was lifted, the bobby pins helped the veil stay in place, and it just looked two tiered. Maybe you can do something similar? I had a really hard time looking for a mantilla with a blusher so I just had one made.

I need a photo of a 2-layer or 2-tier mantilla veil. I have been going nuts trying to find them online but all mantilla veils are 1 tier only. I fell in love in a mantilla veil that I had on when trying out wedding dresses but also always dreamed of having a long chapel or cathedral length veil. I could just do a chapel or cathedral length mantilla but it loses the beautiful draping one gets with the elbow or fingertip-length mantilla (see images). So I want to combine both but don't know how it'd look since i've never seen a 2-tier mantilla done before. And I don't want to do a blusher veil though. Knowing my luck, I'd smear my lipstick all over the veil :-)
Any fashion advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated!
