OK ladies, I've posted my dress on here before, asking about what kind of veil to wear.  I really haven't liked my dress lately, and I think it makes me look bigger than I actually am. I saw someone's dress on a post earlier (sorry, i can't remember whose!) and photoshopped the ribbon off of it and onto mine.  I REALLY think that gives my waist definition now, instead of making me look like a tree trunk.  I also took the straps off and gave it a sweetheart neckline.  Not the greatest graphic designer, but it does the job for now! haha  I just think it looks so much better now, but be honest!!!

I really like the straps. They accentuate your nice neck and collar bone.

love the sweetheart top you added, but I'm not too crazy about the ribbon, it seems like it's competing too much with everything else.

I agree with Daisy--I really like the changes to the neckline but not so much the addition of the ribbon. I don't think the dress makes you look big at all, I really like it on you.

I like the added bow but I dont like the changed neckline and no straps one bit.  The straps made it special

I like it the first way.  The straps are really cute.  I don't like the ribbon at all.

K, now You've got to change it to a sweetheart neckline!! For some reason the neckline helps your torso look longer, don't know if thats just me, but just by changing that neckline i think the rest of your body looks shaply and not so square. also, no ribbon :)

I agree with the others, the neckline looks good with the changes.  I'm not against the bow but not really loving it the way it looks now.  Any other photoshop photos of other bow options?

I like the idea of the ribbon, although I think I would like it better if it was just wrapped once around. But I like it better with the straps-- I think the cap sleeves are really nice on you.

I didn't vote because I like a combination of the two.  I like the changes to the neckline.  However I'm not feeling the ribbon. the dress already has a lot going on so it really does not need more.  Also, you do not look like a tree trunk.  I think the dress looks great on you.  The straps i'm indifferent too.  to me it looks the same with or without them.

agh!  you all love the straps and I hate them LOL.  I never planned on wearing them, they just came with the dress and snap on and off, and I forgot to take any pics where I didn't have them on.  The reason I don't like them (you can't tell in the pics) is that they are just the little snap ones.  In person you can tell they're not really "part" of the dress - especially from the side, because they kind of go in under the dress if that makes any sense.  I think in person they just look kind of cheap, IMO.

@ bvig: I don't have any other bow photos, but here is a pic of the dress I took it off of.  So maybe it will give you a better idea of what it looks like, instead of my bad photoshop job. haha

I like the changes to the neckline and the removal of the straps, but I wouldn't add the ribbon. It just seems like too much.

Hey my dress is the one that the ribbon came from... but I'm not actually planning on wearing the ribbon! Haha, I'm using it to wrap my bouquet instead!

I think the sweetheart neck/strapless looks really nice, but I'm obviously not really keen on the ribbon but I'm sure it would look beautiful either way!

    Good Luck!

Ah!!!  Westie, it was you!!  I was feeling bad for not remembering whose ribbon I had stolen!  hehe....  That's so funny because as soon as I saw the ribbon on your dress I was like OMG, I LOVE that!!!!  I wish I was seeing it the way everyone else is.  siiiiiiiiiiiiigh.  LOL   There is just something about the bodice of mine that I am not liking right now.

I think adding some definition to the waist is a good idea, but the bow is just too much wrapped around twice on your dress. I do like the changes to the neckline.

I like your idea, but I would do a bow that was more like a belt and doesn't wrap around like the one you photoshopped.

I'm not a fan of wrapping the ribbon twice.  I don't think you need the ribbon at all.

I actually like the neckline both ways.  Good luck!

I voted for the photoshopped picture but I would not wrap the ribbon around twice, I would just have the bow in the back possibly. I think someone else posted a pic above of the single bow. I love the change of the sweetheart neckline and no straps!!! :)

Thanks ladies!  I think I'm def gonna change the neckline and remove the straps.  And maybe I'll just wrap the ribbon once and have the bow in the back like a lot of you suggested.  Next question, is there a certain kind of ribbon I should buy for that?  I know nothing about crafty things!  LOL

I say no ribbon. Too much crotch attention, and it might look weird with a bouquet. :p

I agree with no ribbon, but big heck yeah to the sweatheart neckline.  I could go either way on the straps.  I like 'em but it would be just fine without as well.

I love the straps on the first version!  I agree, the ribbon adds definition to your waist, but I still think you look great in the dress wihout the ribbon.  It's a beautiful dress, and I think maybe the ribbon hides some of its beauty.

Ohmigosh how clever!! I like the changes, but I agree with some folks that the ribbon should be simpler. I think it's flattering. It's a pretty easy thing to try out in real life in a fitting and then you can maybe DIY a sash/ribbon if you decide you want it.

I voted for the photoshopped version.  I really like it without the straps.  The ribbon is ok but I think it would be better if it didn't drape down, but instead just wrapped around the waist more tightly.

I like the changes to the top.  I think if you are going to do a ribbon though, maybe it should wrap only once at the waist?
