Here is my latest it is a Giraffe eating.
Supplies:
I really like using sponges but besides that I don't use much else. I do use pencils to sketch what I am painting.
Paint:
I use a mixed media of water color, oil, and acrylic. My favorite is acrylic and that is what I used when I first started in highschool.
Advise:
Go with your gut and remember it doesn't have to look perfect try not to over analyze your paintings.
This is the state park that my wedding will be held in!
I used acrylics on canvas. I like to paint from pictures that I like.

Hi Bees,
Do I have any hobbyist painters out there? I have the urge to paint something, maybe for my living room, but I'm not sure what the most cost effective type of paint is for a beginner?
What supplies to you absolutely must have, besides canvas, brush, pallette, and paint?
What paint do you advise for a novice?
Any little anecdotes you want to include to offer artistic insight?
Or, Just show off your work here!!! I'd love to look at the beauty your hands have created.
