I’ve got back and forth between this so many times but I can’t quite seem to decide what kind of wedding band I want to match my engagement ring:
This is my engagement ring:
I know I want a wedding band wth diamonds on it. One of the reasons we got the ring with plain shanks is so that we could get the wedding band with diamonds. I don’t like the look of two layers of diamond. (I’m not sure why, it looks good on other fingers but seems to overwhelm me). So these are my options!
*** In order from lowest carat total weight to highest ***
#1 Get a matching Tacori Band
#2 Get a non-matchy more carat diamond band like the Tiffany Novo band. Most likely have to get this made in white gold since Tiffanys only has it in Platinum.
#3 Shared Double Prong Band. Except the diamonds will go all the way around to a full eternity

I like the first one the best. it seems to match really well.

I’d go with the matching. The details on it will go well with what you already have.

Your ering must be so pretty! I voted the first one- can’t tell if it’s an eternity or not? If not, I’d go w/ #3 unless you decide to get them soldered. I fell in love w/ a 3/4 band, but kinda wished I would have gotten an eternity so I wouldn’t have to have them soldered together- the spinning would ultimately drive me crazy 🙂

@CaptainSpaulding: Thank you! My e-ring actually isnt here yet but we want to make sure we order our rings early since it takes 4-6 weeks for the weding bands if we order again through Tacori. I’ve been trying on wedding bands with the stores display of my setting.
The first matching band is in fact a full eternity. It’s different than the exact matching set because the matching one doesnt have the milligrain but I think it looks better with. I don’t have plans on soldering them though because I want to be able to wear them independently.
I’ll be sure to post pictures when my ring comes in. It’s due later this week!

The matching band looks best imo :).

Matching Tacori for sure! I am getting a matching Tacori band for mine also and a local jeweler told us recently you should order the set together because they have a tendency to discontinue bands without warning and then you have no match.

Update! So I actually took my ring to the jeweler today and tried them on. now I’m thinking the milligrain matching one doesnt look as good. What do you think?
Option #1: THis is the one most people voted for. but didn’t look as good in person:
Then I tried on the one that directly linked for this ring and saw this one which i think looked better (I’ll put this as OTHER):
Here is option #2 from the poll which is a custom “novo” like band:
SO! What do you think? between these two?
It’s the non-milligrain Tacori versus “Novo”-esque band?

Hmmm… I think I like the novo-esque one, it adds a little more “umph” if you know what I mean, lol! I think the size of your center stone almost overwhelms the non-milligrain Tacori. The Novo-y one holds its own a lot better.

@Aug2011Bride: Now that I’m seeing them together, I actually like the Novo band a lot.
